Mark your calendars: September 24. Iran’s new “relatively moderate” leader, Hassan Rouhani, will speak at the UN. He is also being called a “pragmatist” (whatever the hell that is).
Sounds to the casual observer he will fit right in with the “moderate rebels” in Syria. Or how about the Muslim Brotherhood who were democratically elected in Egypt after Obama helped throw out Mubarak (you remember him, Bush’s old buddy)? Clearly he can be grouped with those “freedom fighters” in Libya (oops that was before Benghazi) Obama bombed into power. Soon this group will be joined by the “moderate Taliban” in Afghanistan who will more than likely takeover the “corrupt” government that was an ally of the US (before Obama discovered their corruptness).
So what is this all about? Rumors are that Obama has been exchanging letters with Roubani, and US officials say, “it’s possible they will meet with Rouhani on the sidelines” when in NY. If Obama can pull this off it would be the first face to face talks with the Iranians in 34 years (smart because you don't want them behind your back).
After Obama’s successful and brilliant “diplomatic solutions” to all the world’s problems in Syria this week it is smart to take on Iran while you are red hot. Krauthammer said, “Obama told the nation the world would end if the US didn’t make an unbelievably small strike against Syria that we might not make”. Sure enough these geniuses were able to solve all the problems in Syria and the world without firing even a tiny, itsy bitsy, missile. Obama’s threat has left the poor Russians in charge of Syria freeing him to spread his hope and change to Iran. Boy did Barry trick the Ruskies.
Once Obama gets commitments from Iran to behave, and use their nukes for only friendly endeavors, all that is left are those pesky little Israelis. My guess is Obama can have Axelrod expose Netanyahu’s offshore bank accounts, phone sex escapades, and use of the “N” word, not to mention his mistreatment of transsexual grade school teachers, and this will just about take care of the Netanyahu led right wing extremists in Israel.
Jim, we are so close to world peace I can smell it. In fact I could smell it if the wind in Hubbard wasn’t from the Northwest coming right over Scott Riddle’s cow pasture. You remember that manure problem we have had in the past causing global warming in downtown Hubbard. But I don’t have time to get into that right now being I have a gig singlin and pickin over at the pool hall in Malone. Last time I was there my fiddle player and I were taking a break to reload our snuff, and I saw this big old full moon. Caused me to just think out loud, "Wonder which one is the closet the moon or New York City?" My fiddler responded, "Heeell-ooooo, you can see the moon!"

BM Thinks Obama Has a Big Win in Syria
Jim,
You asked my opinion of recent events in Syria, here goes!
Obama the Greatest Retreater in all of history spoke boldly last week in soliciting the American citizenry’s support of his threat to punish the Syrian government for the alleged use of chemical weapons. Obama used the following explanations to fire up public support:
1. His comments were described as “circumspect, sprinkling his words with caveats about the modest scale of the operation and acknowledgments of the nation’s combat fatigue”.
2. He said, “We don’t have great options, for the region,” and described “a limited tailored” military operation that he said would amount to a “shot across the bow” for Assad.
3. He said he understood the Brits taking the vote to the parliament saying, “We similarly have a war-weary public.”
In his PBS interview, Obama also stressed that the option before him was a minimal one. America will act, he said, "if, in fact, we can take limited, tailored approaches, not getting drawn into a long conflict, not a repetition of, you know, Iraq, which I know a lot of people are worried about." Politico summed that up with the headline "Obama: Syria Won't Be Iraq."
These comments inspired Andy Borowitz, resident satirist at The New Yorker, to sum up with the headline "Obama Promises Syria Strike Will Have No Objective." Here's his pretend Obama quote: "Let me be clear. Our goal will not be to effect régime change, or alter the balance of power in Syria, or bring the civil war there to an end. We will simply do something random there for one or two days and then leave."
At this point in the debate it looked as if Obama wanted to launch some type of “nothing” attack while warning the Syrians, Iranians, Hezbollah, and Russians to not take it seriously but to look at it as just another Obama political gesture aimed at the stupid voters who put him into office along with his liberal accomplices.
But then the Retreater got even colder feet.
If appeared even the “stupids” recognized this as being “beyond stupid”. Hell, even the folks at the drug store are scratching their heads on this one. So, like old one note approaches everything else, he called his staff together and opened with, “I have a big idea I want to test with you guys”. Then my guess is he said let’s do something that we can blame on the Republican House and that will help us in the 2014 elections. We can put it to a vote. If the House votes attack, then I have cover. If they vote not to attack, I can say they just wanted to vote against my plan no matter how right I am and how wrong they are (you know like Affordable Health Care). I can say they tied my hands and the poor American public will have to live with the results not to mention the lack of respect around the world. If any other Syrian civilians are killed, the blood is on the Republican hands. “Cool, the liberal press will say I rival Clinton (Bill) with my political genius”. And of course, the last thing Old Skinny would do in this meeting would be to give the usual order, “Call the press, lay it out for them, and make sure they don’t screw up the reporting. Write it for them if you have to. We have to put the noose around the Republican’s necks and fast.”
I think Obama would reflect, "The more I think about this the more I love it. No matter which way we go, the world will know we are weak and becoming more irrelevant with each crisis. And yet domestically, we can blame the Republicans again for not being bi-partisan. The solution: give me a Democratic House and Senate in 2014, and I will fulfill all your hopes and bring change to reform this nation in a fair and just way. Again, this is so cool! As Sanford said, this is the big one."
Same old, same old: Never let a crisis go to waste. Just cover it up with a big old fat juicy lie and move on. My opponents aren't smart enough, mean enough, or quick enough to catch me.

The sad thing is I saw a quote this week from a US infantryman, "No war is ever over until the last veteran is dead." About 400 WWII veterans are dying each day. Many of our Iraq and Afghanistan veterans can not get the medical attention they so deserve because of the incompetence of this administration. It is obvious that Obama gets more votes from welfare recipients than from veterans. Those on the dole are chased down by the Obama folks and benefits are shoveled to them. Meanwhile Veteran requests aren't even looked at for months and months.
I strongly believe not one more American soldier should be put at risk as long as the Great Retreater is in office. He has no intention of doing anything but diminishing this country. The only exception for me would be to bomb the Iranian nuclear facilities in a proactive attack with a clear objective in mind. Our strategy concerning allowing these whackos to have nukes is, I WIN YOU LOSE, NO NUKES!!!!

The Noose Is Tightening on America’s Phony President
Dear Jim,
My attempt at putting distance between me and DC politics continues to slide into a huge bar ditch. I justified my attention to Obama’s economic speech yesterday by telling myself I need to tune in to see whether I should cash in my CD at the First State Bank of Hubbard City. Decisions like that need all the input you can get. It is my cash, but on the other hand, a transaction like that could bring the Hubbard financial markets to their knees. I, like the other folks here at the Café, take these decisions very seriously.
President Obama, like a finely tuned laser, has refocused his attention back on the economy. He said, “Washington has taken its eye off the economy.” He reminded the country that he is the champion of the middle-class Americans who are struggling to make ends meet (maybe this is about the gay thing?). So why does our leader need to refocus the nation? “Because Republicans have succumbed to an endless parade of distractions and political posturing AND PHONY SCANDALS.” Wow, how does a middle-class champion get his work done when he is surrounded by political scoundrels in a City like Washington, D.C. who are constantly succumbing?
Never have words THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE been truer than in these United States in the year 2013. The truth is the PHONY IN DC IS BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. The second truth is THE SCANDAL NOOSE IS TIGHTENING AROUND OBAMA’S NECK on several fronts that even the Obama press is beginning to admit.
Jim, get comfortable because I am going to describe just of few of these phony scandals using only one paragraph so the people in Mr. Calm will stay with us on this. OK, I will admit it is a hellava long paragraph.
Obama is, and was, a phony from day one. We have no records of his educational background or his sources of income enabling that alleged education. The odds are extremely high he is not an American citizen and not qualified to even run for our highest office much less spend two terms using it to destroy our country, ON PURPOSE (see details under my signature). One of the phony scandals is clearly this peaky little thing where Obama’s thugs directed the Internal Revenue Service to stop conservative, religious, and Tea Party groups from funding opposition to him in the 2012 Election (not to mention the illegal votes counted in large, predominantly black, urban cities in swing states). Bottom line, they stole the election. This little scandal was tracked to the White House this very week with records of the politically appointed IRS chief counsel visiting the White House prior to his shenanigans. Another phony scandal is now revealing how Obama used his Justice Department who threaten whistle blowers and Fox news reporters not to divulge damaging information prior to the 2012 Election. The cover-up of the “phony” Benghazi attack continues to hound Obama and Hillary revealing how they destroyed the NO AMERICAN LEFT BEHIND basic foundation of the US military. Why the stand-down and cover-up? The same old 2012 Election. Speaking of the Justice Department, don’t forget the phony scandal of walking guns into Mexico in hopes of creating a situation that would assist in banning guns from American citizens like George Zimmerman. Our unlucky President was caught in this phony scandal when Brian Terry was killed with those guns. Damn, it is easier to get away with this stuff when good people don’t die. Obama’s intentions were good. He just wanted to be President of the once most powerful nation in the world so he could help the middle class. If your intentions are good your actions and the end results don’t matter much, right? So when someone calls you on your actions and the end results, it is a phony accusation. Got it? If so you too can be an Obama worshiper. Obama cares!
Whew, Jim, I hope you get the idea. Obama has so many nooses tightening around his skinny little ugly neck that even Bill and Hillary are getting nervous. Many of the perpetrators have left, people like Axelrod and Panetta. Others are trying to leave, like Holder and Hillary. In the next few months I predict we, the American public, will be the only ones left with this despicable excuse for a human being.
PHONY is way too mild to describe Obama. Bill Clinton was a lying sleaze bag. But at least you could describe him. The English language has never been challenged to this degree. There is no term to describe Barrack Hussein Obama. My prediction is he will go down in history for creating a new term. In future years our very worst will be known simply as “OBAMA’S”.

Hopefully My Last Posting About Skittles
Never in our history has the American public been more misled than today by the thugs in the White House, their rich liberal donors, and the "so-called" press. Today's paper screamed a headline "Justice for Trayvon is the cry across the US". The article spoke of the 101 cities who protested the Zimmerman verdict led by Al Sharpton, a race merchant, former politician, and now MSNBC news anchor. The chants, "Justice, Justice. Now, Now. No Justice, No Peace. Who next? Enough is Enough." And why not? We are told a CHILD was profiled, stalked, and murdered as he walked home with his candy and iced tea because he was wearing a hoodie. We are told that he could have been the President's son or even the President himself. When Obama said this we were supposed to go, "WOW!". Instead my thought was so Obama is saying back when he was a young man, stoned, and going to school free he could have bashed someone's head into the concrete. This was before the system gave him a law degree, a community organizer job in the ghetto, and then a political career. "WOW", what a great country!
There is one problem with this child and his candy story . It is complete and total BULLSHIT. It is not only untrue. It is mean, destructive, and intended to tear down everything this country stands for. It is an attack against our nation, and it is on purpose. The intent is divide the country and to continue to transfer wealth and power to a small elite group of lawless liberals led by people named Soros, Obama, Clinton, Reid, and Pelosi (who are "race merchants"). On the other hand, Pelosi and Reid are so dumb I don't know if they even know of the conspiracy.
What is the truth not being told? We know about Trayvon attacking Zimmerman, breaking his nose, and slamming his head into the concrete. However most of us don't know about the 17 year old "child". We also don't have any idea how corrupt and rotten the "black culture" in America is today who lives off the Trayvon Martins. I contrast the "black culture" to the American Culture. To find the truth all we have to do is Google "skittles and iced tea". Here is one of many Google responses:

Some of its side effects include confusion, agitation, and hallucinations among others. Did Trayvon Martin feel sufficiently paranoid to lash out violently in the way Zimmerman and witnesses claim. This is important because a street drug that is popular in the young urban community known as Purple Drank or Lean produces those very side effects — agitation and paranoia

Around this same time, evidence of purple drank began showing up across the South from Lafayette, Louisiana to Pensacola, FL.
This data was not allowed in the Zimmerman trial nor is it reported in the press. It does not support the story about a child and his candy. These facts tell the story about a black culture that is very sick today and destroying children, families, and maybe this nation. It is a culture based on anger, drugs (drank?), pimps (ghetto heroes who live off "ho's"), violence, stupid music, Hollywood (Jay-Z and Beyonce led marches this weekend), dumbed down dress styles (showing your ass and covering your head doesn't help you get a job), poor English featuring ghetto home-made words (drank, again), complete and total ignorance (remember Trayvon’s girl friend), fatherless children (a whooping 73% of blacks are born without fathers), government “free stuff” (food stamps tradable for cash), and don’t forget the “civil rights” leaders (Obama, Holder, Sharpton, Jackson, etc.) who fight for the rights to keep the black culture in the gutter. Today's civil rights leaders are race merchants. Martin Luther King is doing flip flops in his grave.
The real question is who should be on trial for young black deaths today? After all, in Chicago alone one is killed every day and usually murdered by another black. Who benefits from this horrible black culture? Who destroyed the city of Detroit and will soon do the same to cities like Chicago? Who suffers the most from the black culture? The nation should be demanding answers to these questions instead of falsely creating someone like George Zimmerman as the black child's destroyer. Zimmerman has never even been to Chicago and Detroit.
If it really takes the truth to set people free then we better start speaking up if we want to remain free.

This is important because a street drug that is popular in the young urban community known as Purple Drank or Lean produces those very side effects — agitation and paranoia

Purple drank grew out of the underground Houston hip-hop community in the 1990s along with chopped and screwed rap music—a slowed down, remixing of rap songs using skipped beats and scratching. DJ Screw aka Robert Earl Davis Jr. is said to have originated the style of the slow chopped and screwed, which compliments purple drank’s effects of relaxing the user.
DJ Screw died in 2000 of a codeine overdose. That same year, Three 6 Mafia’s song “Sippin’ on Some Syrup” made purple drank mainstream. The group’s song “Rainbow Colors” is about adding Jolly Rancher candy to create the desired rainbow.
Around this same time, evidence of purple drank began showing up across the South from Lafayette, Louisiana to Pensacola, FL.
This data was not allowed in the Zimmerman trial nor is it reported in the press. It does not support the story about a child and his candy. These facts tell the story about a black culture that is very sick today and destroying children, families, and maybe this nation. It is a culture based on anger, drugs (drank?), pimps (ghetto heroes who live off "ho's"), violence, stupid music, Hollywood (Jay-Z and Beyonce led marches this weekend), dumbed down dress styles (showing your ass and covering your head doesn't help you get a job), poor English featuring ghetto home-made words (drank, again), complete and total ignorance (remember Trayvon’s girl friend), fatherless children (a whooping 73% of blacks are born without fathers), government “free stuff” (food stamps tradable for cash), and don’t forget the “civil rights” leaders (Obama, Holder, Sharpton, Jackson, etc.) who fight for the rights to keep the black culture in the gutter. Today's civil rights leaders are race merchants. Martin Luther King is doing flip flops in his grave.
The real question is who should be on trial for young black deaths today? After all, in Chicago alone one is killed every day and usually murdered by another black. Who benefits from this horrible black culture? Who destroyed the city of Detroit and will soon do the same to cities like Chicago? Who suffers the most from the black culture? The nation should be demanding answers to these questions instead of falsely creating someone like George Zimmerman as the black child's destroyer. Zimmerman has never even been to Chicago and Detroit.
If it really takes the truth to set people free then we better start speaking up if we want to remain free.

Let's Talk Race
Several people have called for a discussion about race as a result of the Travon Martin shooting trial and the not guilty verdict of George Zimmerman. Other big news this week was the bankruptcy of Detroit, Michigan. Are these connected? YES. How? Both are symptoms of the general condition of the black community in the USA, TODAY. Not historically, but today.
Detroit first. The population of the City is 83% black, 5% hispanic, and 12% white. The City owes $18.5 Billion with revenues of $1 Billion each year and expenditures of $1.1 Billion. Detroit's population has decreased from over 2 million residents to 800 thousand. It is a disaster and a perfect example of a liberal city with huge welfare rolls and dominated by labor unions and corrupt politicians. When this scenario happens there is a flight by white people first followed by working blacks leaving mostly those on the public dole. Along with the financial decay comes the moral and legal decay. Detroit is one of the least safe cities in the world. It is a community of broken homes, poor schools, and horrible law enforcement. The average response time for the Detroit police to a crime today is almost one hour. 40% of the street lights in Detroit do not work. It is a disaster.
Did the tax payer bailout "saving" the American auto industry save Detroit? You know the answer. (Obama's campaign speech said he refused to let Detroit go bankrupt. Now he says it is up to the local government.) Can Obama pour enough federal money into Detroit to save it? You know the answer. If the Obamas continue to run this country will the USA go the route of Detroit? Sadly you know this answer as well.

Obama grew up in Hawaii. He has no idea what it is to be an african/american. Rev. Wright says Obama asked him to teach him how to appeal to african/americans.
Obama says every black man has seen the fear of a white woman when the man steps on an elevator, HIMSELF INCLUDED.
Obama says every black man has heard car doors lock when he walks by, himself included. I believe this is probably true. Obama says it is because of the history of the black man. I say it is because of the current status of the black community.

Today's young black men did not grow up in slavery. Many have grown up in large cities with no father and living on government handouts. Today's unemployment rate for young blacks is around 50%. Role models are drug pushers and welfare pimps in many large cities.
Blacks do not live this way because of their color. They live this way because of their culture. Blacks that have accepted the American culture do very well (Ben Carson and Allen West). Those who cling to a culture of anger and victimization either live well off on the backs poor blacks (Obama, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton) or they are themselves among the poor.
If Obama cared (and he doesn't) he would be stressing the following:
1. Encouraging the revival of churches in the inner city. Not black supremist churches and like Rev. Wright's, but real Christian churches like Martin Luther King's.
2. Encouraging strong families with a real husband and a real wife supported by grandparents and uncles and aunts. Not redefining marriage to any two people who can improve their government and insurance benefits by being "legally married".
3. Closing terrible schools and allowing charter schools instead of protecting teacher's unions.
4. Encouraging adoption services, like the Catholic Church, for those who can't adequately rear poor children instead of encouraging more births to get a "bigger check".
5. Encouraging private enterprises to create jobs in the inner city instead of sending them overseas.
6. Substituting welfare with work.
7. Praising the freedom, opportunity, and fairness of the United States of America instead of making excuses for black racial hatred because of black "history" (the civil war ended almost 150 years ago).
8. Encouraging the entertainment industry to glorify a culture that promotes attractive appearances, moral conduct, and hard work instead of ghetto attire, violence, cheap sex, and racial hatred.
9. Encourage politicians, professional athletes, business people, and religious leaders to set ethical standards and examples for young blacks. In other words quit cheating, lying, and stealing (redistribution is a form of stealing, the IRS stealing elections is a form of cheating, cooking the unemployment books is cheating, and of course you have the 'of course he lied, he is a politician and they all do it,etc.). In other words acknowledge that the USA is built upon God's Law and the reform needed is to return to our founder's basic principles in stead of reforming to Obamaworld.
By the way, these actions and programs would be great for all Americans no matter what color.
What did Obama suggest instead? Here is his list of suggestions as to how we can prevent future tragedies like the Martin shooting from happening in the future. Encouraging governors and mayors to work with law enforcement on ways to discourage racial profiling, evaluating how "Stand Your Ground" laws (though not used in this case) could be sending a "message as a society in our communities that someone who is armed potentially has the right to use those firearms even if there’s a way for them to exit from a situation," working with "business leaders and local elected officials and clergy and celebrities and athletes" to create programs to help "young African American men feel that they’re a full part of this society." (Note Obama and liberals are all about "feelings" instead of substance. Also, note Obama's solutions always come from government.)
Finally, he, "encouraged Americans to engage in some brutally honest introspection about their own attitudes toward race, so that the prejudiced mentalities that led Zimmerman to shoot Martin and so many others to support the killer could be more effectively confronted". (Zimmerman did not shoot Martin because he had broken his nose and was bashing his head into the concrete. He shot him because of Americans having "attitutes" toward blacks for some strange reason. This is classic "Obamaland".)
As you see Obama will do nothing but incite more racial hostility. He has set race relations back 50 years with his actions and inactions. Obama gains his power as an imposter (remember he is a white/african) of the first african/american President by keeping huge numbers of blacks poor and looking to the government for "free stuff". Meanwhile Obama and his inner group make zillions while transforming the US into a welfare state.

And BM Lost His Cool Over Fort Hood
A funny thing happened at the Hubbard City Café this week. Billy Roy Mitchum just absolutely lost his cool. Now this is pretty unusual, him being the seasoned (and semi-mature) entertainer of some pretty difficult venues in and around Central Texas. You know, places like where Willie Nelson played on a stage behind a wire net to protect the entertainers from thrown Lone Star and Pearl beer bottles. You remember the old long necked heavy containers that also doubled as weapons in less than friendly encounters held usually at taverns near county lines separating wet counties from the Southern Baptists. But I digress.
What set BM off? Well Benghazi had him sitting on ready. BM thinks nothing hurts military effectiveness,recruiting, and retention more than Obama’s pledge to “always leave a soldier behind if you don’t know the conditions on the ground or if it might hurt your re-election campaign”. And of course without a healthy recruiting and retention plan of solid non-feminist and non-gay soldiers there is no military. (Or at least none that could defeat an opponent unless that opponent was manned by skinny assed girly guys like Obama or New York policians like Wiener and Spitzer.)
Obama then made it personal with Billy Roy when he came into the near Hubbard town of West, after the fertilizer explosion, and pledged his support during a photo op. Of course Little Skinny O then reneged.
And now we read about the Islamic Terrorist Traitor Nidal Hasan’s trial. What we don’t read, unless we dig deep, is the other Islamic Hasan’s prompted law suit brought by no fewer than 180 victims of the Fort Hood shooting. This law suit is against Barrack Hussein Obama’s own Federal Government. As you know Obama and Holder call this shooting a case of “workplace violence” instead of a terrorist attack.
Obama’s thugs argue the shooting was the act of a “lone wolf”. They argue that, “declaring Hasan a terrorist would undermine the prosecution and compromise Hasan’s ability to get a fair trial” (like who cares?). Obama’s legal team is out to protect the families, but of course. They argue, “A failed prosecution would thwart the real and lasting measure that will bring closure to the grieving and harmed victims and families”. Only legally trained Muslim friendly socialist jerks would dare to argue such drivel. If Obama is so concerned about looking after the families then why are they suing?
The 180 plaintiffs argue the workplace violence label keep them from getting monetary damages, proper medical attention, retirement benefits, and Purple Hearts. They say Obama’s interest is “for political reasons and to protect both the policies of political correctness engaged in damage control including efforts to obscure Hasan’s religious motives” (Guess which religion Obama is protecting once again?). Who would have thought that? Hasan has said in open court he was defending the Taliban in shooting American soldiers. The same Taliban Obama is attempting to negotiate so he can pull out of Afghanistan. So at least Obama has an ally this time. Hasan is right in there with skinny defending the Taliban who are poisoning school children’s water in Afghanistan because they are sending girls to school. And I thought only Republicans warred against women.
So what are Obama’s thugs doing with these wounded whistle blowers? Here are a few examples according to BM:
1. Staff Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford, who was shot 6 times, said he was denied a promotion because he spoke out.
2. Spc. George Stratton was denied his requests for PTSD counseling after being wounded because his superiors were told to “play down the terror attack”. He was demoted in rank because of his protest.
3. Staff Sgt. Shawn Manning was also shot 6 times and said being denied the Purple Heart cost him retirement benefits estimated at more than $60,000.
Well at least as Obama and family spend millions on their African vacation a little of it will be “paid for” by Obama’s savings on his support of our nation’s defenders.
Looks like Obama has the back of the American soldier. He is having his thugs stick a dagger in every back they can reach. Bottom line Obama may be successful where Hitler, the Japanese Emperor, Stalin, and many others have failed. He has the US military on the run as we the American people sit on our hands when we are not trying to legalize millions of more minorities to vote for a Democratic welfare state.

While all this is going on Republicans like John McCain are working hard to support Muslim Terrorists in Syria and Egypt when he isn’t trying to legalize anywhere from 11 to 40 million illegals while shutting down GITMO and declaring the US guilty of torturing by pouring water in a bomber’s face to catch other bombers before they murder thousands of additional innocent Americans. Hasn't been that long since we ran this same guy to put Skinny in office. Wonder why more of us aren't showing up at the polls?

A Letter to Billy Roy on this 4th of July
Dear BM,
Glad to see you are semi-active in commenting on political stuff, again.
My latest news from Hubbard City is Billy Mack Waller told me if the police find fingerprints of the match that set his cafe on fire that he thought it would be his wife's prints. Seems she may have been ready for retirement. This was good news for the owner of the Hubbard City Cafe (just across the street from Billy's Mack's burned down cafe) since most folks in Hubbard thought the HBC owner had set the fire. Those of of in the know did know this wasn't true since she really didn't want nor need the extra business.
Also my news is the Methodists got their previous minister back, and this is great news. He did a really good job before, and I am sure the church and community will prosper with his return.
Here on the 4th of July I have some thoughts about this whole “religion” thing in our country. For some time in my Bible Study Group I have tried to find examples where God encouraged His people to create democratic forms of government and to rule based on the “will of the people”. Current turmoil in Egypt, Syria, Libya, and these United States make this an interesting topic today. SEEMS TO ME GOD ENCOURAGED (SOMETIMES IN VERY FORCEFUL WAYS) HIS RULERS AND PEOPLE TO FOLLOW HIS WILL. When they didn’t, they seemed to have been punished. When they did they seemed to have prospered. I am thinking of examples from Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Moses, the Jews in the time of Christ, and right up until modern history.
Well that brings me to those founding fathers of these United States who many today proclaim these founders fought to separate religion from government (a pursuit currently relished by Liberals, educators, and their handpicked Judges).
I am not going to interpret these founding fathers here on the celebration of our nation's Declaration of Independence. I will let them speak for themselves:
“It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor.”
-George Washington, First President of the United States
“I’ve lived a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: That God governs in the affairs of men. If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We’ve been assured in the sacred writings that unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. I firmly believe this, and I also believe that without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel.”

“Whenever the pillars of Christianity shall be overthrown, our present republican forms of government-and all blessings which flow from them- must fall with them.”
-Jedediah Morse: Patriot and Educator,called the “Father of American Geography”
BM, I could quote many other founders, former Supreme Court Justices, former Congress-people, and former Educators who would be terrified at the way our country has stayed from the Will of God.
The singular reason for this nation’s prosperity has been our Christian foundation. The singular reason for our downfall will be the erosion of that Christian foundation which is occurring at a very rapid pace.
Let's celebrate our nation's Christian independence while we can,
