What Got In Your Eye This Weekend?
"Never have I seen anyone who pee-ed in someone's eye and told them it was raining more then on this Health Care thing," sighed Billy Roy Michum (fairly famous C&W performer who had recently returned from a semi-extended tour of a good part of East Central Texas staying pretty much south of Corsicana) as he held court at the Cafe. This was the post weekend review of the big Nancy Pelosi Cat Roundup. BM continued, "Might be good for us to separate the pee from the rain on this momentous occasion. I say momentous because I think this will wind up as a very inspiring event in our much needed cause to take back our liberty and basic rights from Washington, D.C."
The following was a solo by BM splashing facts and opinions mostly right and not much left:
The rain in our eye was flowing strongest when Nancy P declared Health Care a Right after the unconstitutional vote. The fact that she was peeing is clear when you consider our Founders said that our Rights came from our Creator and not Nancy P nor Barry Obama nor anyone else in government. In fact the government restricts individual Rights, they don't grant them. In fact they are supposed to protect our Rights based on the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution.
The rain came down real hard when this Bart Stupak guy from Ohio said that Barry had written an Executive Order declaring the government would not fund abortions. Hell, he probably wrote it on the back of one of his cigarette packs. Anyway, the pee was pretty obvious as Stupak and fellow bullshitters then voted into law the Senate Bill which specifically states that folks can buy insurance that covers abortions and that the government will subsidize the purchase of this insurance. I read this Reconciliation Bill and it doesn't extract the abortion funding provision at all. Stupak then had the gaul to pronounce the Democrats the party that protected Human Life. Go figure.
Obama laughed off criticism as he rained reassurances on us who questioned the growth of government and DC's take over of Health Care. When you read the passed bill it is all urine. Over 150 new bureaucracies, 3,400 new government mandates, 1,700 new IRS agents to enforce the mandates on people and companies who will share tax records with Health and Human Services, new taxes driving marginal tax rates to Jimmy Carter levels of 44% (60% in states like California), and to top it all off, Obama added a provision for the government to take over all student loans which has nothing to do with Health Care.
In fact all of this has very little to do with Health Care. Obama claims to be a rain maker that is historically insuring all Americans while reducing costs for all and reducing the deficit. The urinating truth is most of the specifics in this bill will never go into effect. Does anyone believe we will tax Labor Union Cadillac Health Plans scheduled to start in the year 2018? What will happen and soon is the government's use of this law to take control of Health Care and create another entitlement to get people more dependent on the NANNY STATE. Our idiot VP slipped and said last week, 'this bill will let us control insurance companies.' Obama and crew's real goal is to transform the US to Socialism by promising to buy votes Chicago style.
Once again the freedom of the American people is at risk, and the will of the American people is being challanged. May God not give up on, and bless, the USA.

The Coming BIG GOVERNMENT NANNY STATE
This appears to be "the week" determining whether our country takes an enormous step toward Socialism (BIG GOVERNMENT Control) so the Cafe is working overtime by starting their afternoon coffee at 2:45 instead of the normal 3:00 PM schedule. Discussions and other semi-critical actions are extending sometimes even beyond 4:00. So my instructions are to blog a little more frequently than (I was going to say normal, but Billy Roy says there's not much normal about my blog).
Scott Riddle, local cattle baron and insurance tycoon of some local importance, says, "The Drug Store Libs laugh about it when the folks talk about how these Health Care plans lead to a government takeover and shred our Constitution. Most folks don't know, and won't find out according to Pelosi until the bill is passed, about several provisions that mandate racial and ethnic quotas for medical schools and government contractors in the House Bill. They call for quotas for those that are 'underrepresented' so they can not include Asians and Jewish people. Their claimed rationale is that Blacks and Hispanics have poorer health than others. If they can force more 'underrepresented' doctors and health care workers they will treat these groups."
Even the folks didn't know about this and chairs were pulled in real tight as Scott continued, "Of course the Libs blame everything on discrimination and overlook the fact that Medical Schools have been trying to enroll Blacks for years. The problem is that historically Blacks do not gravitate to Math and Science which are required for medical curriculums and to pass licensing exams. So clearly this provision would put lesser qualified medical personnel in our hospitals unless this educational problem is solved by the public schools (or the Libs will probably just lower requirements and change the licensing exams). Cynically you have to ask yourself, are the libs motivated by improving health care for all, or just buying votes to support their BIG GOVERNMENT NANNY STATE?"

Obama is going to do things like this and reduce our health care costs while keeping our insurance from going up. How do you add 30 million people to the roles, treat young people like suckling pigs, and lower costs. Those can't be real cigarettes Idiot #1 (Obama) is smoking.

Going Inside the Cafe to Find The Truth About Obamacare
Watching Barry attack the Insurance Companies in his last gasp effort to get votes from his own Democratic Congressmen for his plan for the Federal Government to take over Health Care I decided to go inside the Hubbard City Cafe to get the truth.
So what is going on? Butch Jackson, locally famous reciter of a serious number of facts answered first, "Like most things the Pres says he is not letting facts get in the way. For example Medicare loses 7 times more money each year to fraud than all the insurance companies make with their profit margins of 3.2%. The rate increases from Insurance Companies that BHO rails against are the direct result of huge costs increases mostly caused by Medicare and Medicaid pushing their costs over to private insurers."
What is this complicated reconciliation thing that everybody is talking about? Billy Roy Mitchum (just home from a tour performing on almost every major C&W stage in East Central Texas) was the only one to take this one on, "The Dems have captured themselves in their own net on this one. Very simply the way the legislative process works is a Health Care Bill was passed in the House and another bill was passed by a filibuster proof super majority of 60 Democratic votes in the Senate. The Dems plan was to then send the two bills to committee to be merged. The Senate had made real sleazy deals to get their 60 votes in Nebraska, Florida, and all kinds of other under the table deals. They thought the merged bill would get rid of a lot of the crap and the Senate Dems would have to accept the bill and pass it with their 60 votes. Surprisingly, the Massachusetts election of Senator Brown cut their majority to 59 votes and made the merged bill subject to a Republican filibuster block. The Dems got too cute and trapped themselves."
Now what? BM continued, "Now the Dems will pass their Senate bill by twisting arms in the House and then pledge they will come back with a procedure that just takes 51 votes called Reconciliation to meet promises they are making to the House members to get their votes. I predict they will fight over who has to vote for it and who can vote against it but they have trapped themselves into having to pass this Socialist takeover of Health Care."
Why is it Socialism? BM took a deep breath , "If the Dems convince the American people that Health Care is a right that is delivered by the government, they can use this to control a huge part of our lives. First they will use Health Care to buy votes by delivering one more entitlement. Once they can get 50% of Americans sucking the government's tit, they can stay in control. Secondly, if a government health care commission decides that those who are overweight are using more than their fair share of care then they can do things like tax overweight people, ration care to the overweight, mandate premiums for their coverage, and tax the foods that the commission feels is causing this weight gain. They can use this "right" concept to control our food, life styles, income, spending, and a good part of our lives. They are trying to take salt off the tables in NYC right now. Obama's plan is to follow with similar Energy and Education control plans that would shred our Constitution. Madison, Jefferson, Washington, Adams, and the other old boys must be doing flip flops in their graves as they watch this."
The Dems this week-end say the polls are trending their way? Butch came back in, "This is another eleventh hour lie. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 43% favor the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats, while 53% oppose it. Those findings include 23% who Strongly Favor the plan and 46% who Strongly Oppose it. Despite the plan’s stated goal of reducing health care costs, 55% of voters believe the cost of health care will go up if the Democrats’ plan becomes law. Just 18% say it will make costs go down. Rasmussen is clearly the most accurate polling source."
Well at least Obama seems to be doing sane things with our foreign policy like in Iraq and Afghanistan, huh? "Not even close," came back Joe Frank Dell. "This past week Biden went to Israel to kick off peace talks with the Palestinian Muslims. The Israelis announced they were building 1,600 housing units IN JERUSALEM IN TERRITORY CLEARLY OWNED AND CONTROLLED BY ISRAEL. The Palestinian Muslims squealed and Biden and Hillary supported the Palestinians who pulled out of the talk process. This was all part of Obama's Pro-Muslim strategy. Biden then used Obama-speak to talk about the US support of Israel. Obama is Israel's worst nightmare. Obama is the USA's worst nightmare."

All Roads Ultimately Lead to the Hubbard City Cafe
The Cafe is still talking about the Super Bowl, it being a big football game and all. Butch can keep topics like this alive for way too long actually. This week he was heard to have said, "Everybody always said the New Orleans Saints would win the Super Bowl when hell freezes over, and I'll be damned if the same day they won they had a record snow and freezing spell in Washington, DC."
He kept on, "Even after the recent Super Bowl victory of the New Orleans Saints, I have noticed a large number of people making bad jokes that Cajuns aren't so smart. I would like to state for the record that I disagree with that assessment. Anybody who would build a city 10 feet below sea level in a hurricane zone and fill it with Democrats is a damn genius."
Well, Billy Roy thinks Obama insured his position at the top of the Idiots List on Monday. In giving his 38th speech on Health Care he strayed from Mr. Teleprompter and said his plan would "reduce the deficit by $1 Trillion (with a T) over the next 10years". Tuesday night Barry's crap scoopers were working overtime. They said the Pres really meant they would save $1T over the second 10 years not the first.
BM called this a three bagger, "First it is horseshit since the plan will increase the deficit by over $2T. Secondly it is double bullshit because Barry doesn't know the difference between millions, billions, or trillions for that matter. Lastly his last forecast was if you give him $800 Billion (with a B) to stimulate his buddies, he would keep unemployment under 8%. So how the hell can he forecast what will happen 10 to 20 years from now? And he does this with a straight face with his hand picked drug store people cheering him on."
Joe Barger Heard says, "Just when he believes Obama can't get worse he tops himself. His latest group of people to demonize are those politicians who would lie, go against their principles, and do anything just to get elected or re-elected. Who the hell does he think he is? He will read anything they stick in front of him. Now Axelrod and Emanueal are fighting about who gets to feed Mr. Teleprompter."
Mom and Aunt Martha love to take car trips on the country roads around Hubbard. Last Saturday after they got their hair fixed they drove to Mt. Calm on the paved road and then embarked on gravel hopefully toward Coolidge. Somehow they took a really bad turn and evidently wound up in Delia. The problem now being there is no known way to get back to Hubbard from Delia. Good news is as they tried anyway, they got lost again, and somehow made it back to Hubbard. The lesson being sometimes to have to get hopelessly lost before you can find yourself.
Hope our country is as lucky as Mom and Aunt Martha.

Well the folks at the Drug Store tell me that MSNBC is saying the Tea Party movement is really about folks that hate having a Black President disguised as supporters of Fiscal Responsibility, Low Taxation, and Defict Reduction. Interesting that most analyst and pollster's thought being Black was a positive when Obama easily won the Presidential Election. I swear I don't know how you can have it both ways.
I do believe it is time we did discuss real racial issues.
Michelle Obama, our first lady, is focusing on bringing BIG GOVERNMENT's assistance to the country's obesity problem. The government is going to tell us how to eat and exercise. The justification for this meddling is that since taxpayers are paying for most health care then the government has the right to restrict those who are using more than their fair share. This is really interesting since the country's biggest obesity problem is BIG GOVERNMENT.
Makes me wonder what would happen if our first black president and first lady took on real problems like destroying big GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS that explode the black poverty rate which has not improved since 1960.
Martin Luther King was killed in 1968 after leading a civil rights effort based on the proposition that all people should be judged by their character and not the color of their skin. His logical hope and strong belief was that if he could get people to practice the equality of opportunity, that the poverty rate of blacks would dramatically improve. While some blacks have taken advantage of their new opportunities (the percentage of blacks with college degrees is three times greater than in 1970), far too many have not. Why should they when BIG GOVERNMENT is coming to their rescue with welfare, housing, foot stamps, medicaid, and racial preferenced employment practices? The more children out of wedlock, the bigger the check!
In 1970, two years after Dr. King's death, 62% of black women were married compared to 33% per cent today. 74% of black men were married compared to 44% today. In 1970 5% of black mothers were never married compared to 41% today. What happened? BIG GOVERNMENT.
Additionally, BIG GOVERNMENT's solution to racial equality was not built around faith based principles but around politics. Most of BIG GOVERNMENT's programs provided all the wrong incentives. The welfare state ran amuck, along with entitlements, transfer payments, and the politics of differences and envy. Redistribution of wealth was seen to many as a right for the underprivileged instead of providing the right of equal opportunity to earn through achievement.
MLK's religious passion for God's Laws were not a part of BIG GOVERNMENT's programs. Values like family (honor thy father and mother), property and ownership (thy shall not steal), and not taking from others (thy shall not covet) were not considered in BIG GOVERNMENT solutions where politicians have many times just been attempting to buy votes. Terms like "welfare pimps" have been used to describe political leaders who have taken advantage of blacks by keeping them dependent on government so that these so called pimps could gain and maintain power and wealth at the expense of blacks.
Most of these big government solutions such as welfare not only failed to support MLK's dream but actually provided incentives that destroyed families, discouraged education, and sabotaged work ethic.
As for Tea Parties, blacks would be smart, and prosper as well, to join the movement to get BIG GOVERNMENT off their backs.
In my feeble opinion the first Black Leader that joins people like Bill Cosby in stepping up to the real problems of race will be more popular after their election than before. Sadly, Obama ain't the guy.

Ah, Ah, Ah, Obama Loses MoJo
Butch Jackson, analyzer of significant and insignificant events of some renown, stayed up all last night reviewing Obama's Healthcare Summit filibuster. Butch reports, "On a word count basis the current White House resident beat all of the accumulated Republican speakers hands down."
This count was challenged by Billy Roy Michum, current un-official but presently presiding Judge of the folks at the Hubbard City Cafe when not performing with his semi-famous C&W Band," Does your word count include the 'Ah, Ah, Ah, Ahs'."
"Good question," answered Butch. "I gave him half credit for the 'Ahs', which gave Barry a huge win in word count. Even without the 'Ahs', Barry wins by a slight margin. When you add in the word count of the other Dems, they beat the Republicans by about 4X1. It should also be noted that the Dems talked over a good 30% of the Republican words."
BM came back, "This semi-refutes the claim that Dems don't listen. You have to listen real careful to time your talk to talk over your opponent. It is not easy. Butch, what about content and fact checking?"
"Good question, you are red hot today BM. Obama's deepest subject was about trying to insure his clunker when he was on drugs in college. The meeting just lasted about 6 hours. and with the Republicans talking for almost 1 1/2 of those hours, Obama was not able to finish his clunker story to tie it into the Healthcare debate. I think we will have the conclusion of that story to look forward to in next year's state of the union address (if we still have a union by then). When it comes to facts, it is a fact that most of what Obama says without Mr. TelePrompter is semi-inaudible which makes fact checking real hard. Bottom line, folks were afraid that Obama was setting a trap and the Republicans would suffer a big loss. Didn't happen."
BM responded, "I'll tell you what's lost. Obama has lost his MoJo, big time. And we are a better country for it."
