The Gloves Are Coming Off Against Obama's Secular-Socialist Machine

Billy Roy Mitchum, coming off a hugely successful performance at Hubbard's Old Town Music Venue on Saturday night, was tuned up and turned on, "Well, I have been wondering really hard when a major politician was going to tell it like it is, and Newt Gingrich did this very morning. Newt announced his new book 'TO SAVE AMERICA' with a subtitle 'STOPPING OBAMA'S SECULAR-SOCIALIST MACHINE'. In the book he warns America that the Chicago Socialist Machine is as dangerous to the country as Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany was in earlier times. Folks, we are going to have to take the gloves off like Newt is doing if we are going to stop these pompous thugs."

"Saw Newt this morning, BM." Joe Frank Dell, wearing the grin of a proud Granddad, chimed in. Proud because his grandson just got a football scholarship to West Point. "Newt was really fired up about our Assistant Secretary of State apologizing to, of all people, the Red Chinese because the duly elected representatives in Arizona passed a bill that over 60% of the voters approve. This idiot apologizes to the Commies about what he calls our country's discrimination problems. As far as I am concerned this is an act of treason by this loon."

Butch Jackson has been fighting some health problems but still was able to extract a little known fact about the Obama Chicago Machine's handling of this country's budget. "Would you believe we don't have a budget. Democratic House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer once said that the 'most basic responsibility of governing is to pass a budget. Now news came from Rep. Hoyer himself who said 'It's difficult to pass budgets in election years because they reflect what the [fiscal] status is.' In other words, with November looming on the horizon, the left doesn't want their constituents to realize just how much Congress is spending and how high taxes will go. Members of Congress are likely hesitant to show the American people how seriously they have damaged America's current long-term budget picture. This Congress has refused to pare back runaway spending and deficits, and many of its Members will refuse to pass a budget resolution that shows the resulting trillion-dollar deficits until after the November elections."

After the Congressional Budget Office released an adjusted set of increased costs for the Health Care Law in the Billions (remember Pelosi said we would have to pass the bill to find out what was in it?) Aunt Martha, Hubbard City Librarian, was asked to go on the net and find out how big the bureacracy will grow under Obama's Socialist Health Care Program. Below is a partial list of 159 new boards and commissions created in the bill (all staffed by government bureaucrats who will vote for Obama).

Since no one will read this list, including the Obama Administration, I will go ahead and sign off.

Think about this mess,

Jim

CONTROL THE BORDERS FIRST

It is just too hard for the Cafe Folks to get off this Arizona Law issue. As Butch Jackson, locally renown memorizer of facts some of which are pertinent says, "Whenever John McCain speaks out aggressively against an opponent you know that opponent is one rotten apple and stinking up the whole basket. Too bad John is finding his competitive spirit 18 mos. after his Presidential election, but I digress. Just this week John said 'President Barack Obama is spreading false information (that is McCain speak for he is lying like a dog) about John's state immigration bill. McCain criticized an attempted joke Obama made: 'We all know what happens in Arizona when you don’t have an ID, Adios, amigos!' Spanish spoken with a Kenyan accent is really strange, but again, I digress. McCain told Fox News that the joke was 'simply false'. That Obama is totally falsifying the law passed in Arizona, which calls for reasonable suspicion, both whether someone should be stopped or not and once they're stopped reasonable suspicion as to whether they are in the country illegally. The law specifically outlaws racial profiling,' McCain said."

Mom tossed in, "McCain didn't even mention Obama's remarks about someone taking their child to get an ice cream cone in Arizona and getting embarrassed by cops questioning their citizenship. The only way Obama would have been correct is if they were going to rob the ice cream store."

Butch came back, "Never have the press and Liberal Elite Socialist Elite's been as corrupt. How about the Soviet Socialist State of Illinois stopping the High School basketball team from playing in Arizona. They say they are protecting their children against harassment and from putting them at risk from the Law. My God, if they have an illegal player or players on the team how about stopping them from boarding planes where you need personal identification instead of keeping your whole team from celebrating their accomplishments. It is like Billy Roy says, Libs are turning everything upside down. What is right like stopping illegals from breaking our laws is now considered wrong. Allowing illegals to live on tax payer entitlements is considered right if it will re-elect O-bomb-u."

Billy Roy Mitchum, unelected but unanimously acknowledged Chairman of the Hubbard City Cafe Coffee Group (BM will be performing at the Old Town venue on Saturday the 15th at 9:00 PM) provided his well thought out and semi-informative content, "Well it behooves me to inform the folks that none other than Newt Gingrich has signed on to our American Citizens Unite Movement, and not only that, he has given us our first slogan, slogan Hell it's a battle cry, pertaining to the whole immigration thing. That slogan is 'CONTROL THE BORDERs FIRST' and it should be adopted by every citizen who is tired of left wing elites trying to use charges of racism to blackmail us into accepting perpetually unsecured borders and amnesty for millions all for the purpose of electing Socialists like Obama. A real President, as Commander in Chief, has a constitutional obligation to control the border. However, instead of executing this duty, this impostor has actually blocked the limited efforts of the Bush Administration, stopping the construction of a 'virtual fence' until more studies can be done as to its effectiveness. The fact that President Obama refuses to fulfill his national security obligations and instead is trying to arouse public fear and divide the country is a dereliction of duty and a betrayal of his Oath of Office. This is smacks right up against treason."

"Newt warns us that back in 1982 President Reagan made a deal with Congress that he would give amnesty to 300,000 Mexicans if Congress would control the borders. The 300,000 turned out to be 3,000,000 (with an M) and the border protection promise was not kept. So it has to be 'CONTROL THE BORDERS FIRST', then lets talk about worker permits and changing the immigration laws, comprehensive reform, etc., got it?"

The folks chimed in with a fairly feeble attempt at unison, "We've got it, BM. Well spoken and give Newt our best."

May 15 will also mark the 1st Wonder of the Hubbard World as folks will celebrate Pat Riddle's 50 something anniversary having livied with Scott, local cattle baron, insurance tycoon, and semi-famous all around character of some local and limited foreign renown. This is somewhat longer than this writer's informed prediction of no more than 2 months on the outside being this writer was somewhat qualified since this writer was the best man in this particular wedding back in those days when it was hard to get a real best man.

God Bless Pat Riddle.

Think about it and those borders,

Jim

Citizen's Movement Unites Behind Joe Legal

April 26, 2010 is a historic date at the Hubbard City Cafe. On this day Billy Roy Mitchum announced at least a Nationwide Movement for All American Citizens to "unite to protect our borders, enforce our Immigration Laws, and throw anyone who opposes these actions out of office starting with that Bozo in the White House." BM went on to declare this movement enlisted a call to the following folks, "All American Citizens including even White Men, Asians, Euros, All Women, and most of all, the citizens who are hurt the most by illegal immigration, that being Latino Citizens and Latinos with legal work permits, and most of all, Blacks. Blacks are the citizens who suffer the most by lost jobs to illegals, welfare programs, and the nanny state pushed on them by Liberal Elitist Dems and Racial Justice Pimps like Al Sharpton."

Yesterday, BM expounded even more, "Things in this country have gone upside down. Things that used to be right or now declared wrong by the Mean Media, Atheists, and Socialist Libs. Something like erecting a cross on a hill to celebrate World War I Vets at one time was the right thing to do. Now, even when the Supreme Court protects our rights to put up a cross on a hill ,what the press calls vandals, steal the cross and destroy it. At one time it was right to protect our borders and enforce our laws. Today, Pelosi is urging the Catholic Church to support amnesty for 15m Illegal Mexicans so that they will re-elect Obama. It used to be right for people to get good educations, work hard, and make money. Now it is bad that those same greedy people are not spreading their money around enough to those uneducated and many illegal folks who don't work. How did we go upside down like this?"

Well, a friend of mine in Austin, Texas has contacted Billy Roy and offered his services in researching things of significance to, what the folks at the Cafe are now calling, THE CITIZEN'S MOVEMENT.

My analyst friend has closely studied two families. One he calls Joe Legal and the other, Jose Illegal. Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California, of all places. Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted. Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Ready, because this requires some concentration? Now pay attention... Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has $31,231.00. Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.00 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00 compared to Joe Legal's $31,231,00, and it ain't over.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Oops, Joe Legal now has $24,031.00. Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00. Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00. Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $9,631.00. Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year for his rent. Jose Illegal still has $ 31,200.00.

And it goes on, Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal now has $7,231.00. Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no stinkin' insurance!" and still has $31,200.00. Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc. Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work. Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family. Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home. Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, But Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Billy Roy is fond of saying, "We may be dumb, but we aren't completely stupid." He says, "Surely our Ciitzens can grasp this? And again just this week that witch, Pelosi, was calling on good Catholics to support amnesty for illegals. This is the same witch who tells Catholics that when life begins in the womb should not interfere with a woman's right to choose abortion. But I digress, If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens (code name Comprehensive Immigration Reform)... YOU are part of the problem! Look, this is all about American Citizens against those who want to not transform our country but want to destroy our country."

Think about it,

Ripley's Got Nuthin Compared to Willie Mae Mills

Mrs. Willie Mae Mills, 99, of Hubbard passed away Monday, April 19, 2010. If submitted, Willie Mae would easily win a Ripley's Believe It or Not award. But first, the story:

I was pre-school aged when my Mom and Dad got a rare divorce for those times, and she, my brother Mack, and I moved to Hubbard to live with my Great Grandmother who had no indoor plumbing at the time. Living 'catty-cornered' from us was the Mills family. They had a somewhat large impact on my life.

Lemma Mills, the daughter who was a twin, was a gorgeous red head who became a twirler in high school and married a banker. From the day I saw her I loved beautiful girls.

Livy Mills, the son who was a twin, was one of the first T Formation Quarterbacks in the 1950's. I became a Quarterback.

Otto Mills, the oldest son, taught me in Math and coached football when I was in High School. I majored in Mathematics and Physical Education in college.

The father, Bill Mills, was my honorary father on Football Dad's Night all four years I was in High School. Also, he was always there to repair my Vespa Motor Scooter at my beckon call. Till this day, I rely on other people to fix anything mechanical or electrical or whatever.

And now the real story, Willie Mae Mills. When Otto joined the football team as a freshman in high school, Mom (better known to Bloggers as Maxine) suggested that Willie Mae see his first game. At the time she had never seen a football game and had no interest in such. Well, Mom drove the Mills to that first game, and it began a Ripley's feat. You see Willie Mae proceeded to attend Hubbard High football games, both home and away, for the next 61 years (yep, that 61 is no typo) without missing one game.

One year Willie Mae delayed her heart surgery so that she could finish the season. Rain, snow, ice, winds, it didn't matter. Win or lose, good team/bad team, it didn't matter. This little 90 lb. red headed woman sat right in the middle of the "football stands" cheering at the top of her little lungs. I never walked off the field after a game that I didn't look for Mrs. Mills seeking her approval. In fact the greatest compliment I have ever received came from Bill Mills. He said that I was one of the "guttiest" players to come from Hubbard. Not very good, but gutty.

Two years ago Willie Mae fell and broke her hip causing her to attend only one game and breaking her 61 year streak. Last year she only attended home games.

When Willie Mae suffered a stroke and was in the hospital a few weeks back, the local Baptist Minister, Ricky Woodall, visited her. Rev. Woodall told Willie Mae that he knew she was trying to live a few more months to reach her 100th birthday. Ricky made a ruling right on the spot. He told her that when you count her "womb" time that she had already made her goal. She was 100 years of age. Willie Mae joined her Savior in perfect peace having achieved her goals and then some.

About 4 months ago I drove by Willie Mae's house and saw her rocking on her front porch. I stopped and sat with her on the swing for a good hour. What a great time I had as she pointed 'catty-cornered' across the street and reminisced, not to mention the world class hugs as I arrived and departed. She could really squeeze you to be so small.

If you have a Willie Mae in your life, do yourself a favor, and get your butts to visit them as fast as you can.

Think about it,

This Week's Big Issues at Hubbard Coffee Houses

Occasionally it may help readers to understand Hubbard City politics by simply listing the top three issues of each of the three major political forces, that being the Cafe, Drug Store, and Dairy Queen. My polling this week resulted in the following list:

This Weeks Most Important Issues:

Drug Store Liberal Issues:
1. Concern that Tea Party People and Conservative Talk Show Hosts are criticizing the Obama Government, and there is an imminent danger that they may ignite violence in some red neck right wing nut case.
2. Support of criticism, boycotts, and demonstrations against the State of Arizona which has passed an Illegal Immigration Law that makes current Federal Illegal Immigration Laws enforceable at the State level as well. These protest actions are to prevent Arizona from enforcing what the Federal Government will not enforce.
3. Support of the the Pentagon and the Obama Administration who have taken action to ban Reverend Franklyn Graham from speaking at the National Day of Prayer rally because Rev. Graham has been critical of Muslim nation's treatment of women and their discrimination of all non-Islamic religions. Agree with Obama's decision to not play religious favorites by not going to any of the Prayer meetings for the second straight year.

City Cafe Conservative Issues:
1. Calling for the Obama administration to fund, focus, and staff key Defense, State, and Homeland Security leadership positions with competent personnel with the intent to protect the American people by fighting a War on Terror instead of treating terrorists as Enemy Combatants reading them Miranda Rights, lawyering up terrorists, and claiming the US is a "Muslim Nation" while coddling the Iranians as we hope they don't build nuclear weapons. Current Obama practices rely on Tee Shirt Salesmen to spot terrorist (who trained for 4 mos. with the Taliban) in Times Square while whimpering about the possibility of weak sanctions with UN so-called partners who like Ahmadinejad better than Hillary Clinton.

2. Protect the US and Mexican border by using the National Guard until fences can be completed and the Border Patrol can be staffed appropriately. Enforce laws that prevent employers from hiring illegals while revamping immigration procedures to create legal work permits where applicable. Additionally, provide more assistance to the country of Mexico in fighting their drug war and spurring economic growth in that country since they are our neighbor.

3. Urge Obama to appoint competent Energy experts to his administration that will work with Congress and Industry to develop a Comprehensive Energy Independence strategy for the US that includes the safe and economic development of Fossil Fuels, Wind, Solar, and Nuclear Energy. Stop blaming British Petroleum for a rig blowout that they leased from Transocean, the world’s biggest offshore drilling contractor and before anyone knows what really happened in the Gulf. For example in the event of a serious emergency, there are multiple Panic Buttons to hit. None of them were apparently activated, suggesting that the blowout which killed at least 12 people was especially swift to escalate at the surface sending flames visible up to about 35 miles away. They were 200 – 300 ft high. Competent leaders get the facts and address the crisis. Sleazy politicians play the blame game.

Dairy Queen Moderate Issues:
1. This Arizona law thing must be bad because Arnold the Terminator, the Bushs, and Obama all don't like it.

2. While the Dems said the new Health Care Plan would solve all our problems and the Right Wingers said it would bankrupt us, I just went to my doctor and it was just the same way its always been. Just like we thought. Nothing happening either way.

3. These arguments about how we treat people who attempt to blow up Times Square and what we do with the Iranians reminds me of the Los Angeles riots. It took a truck driver named Rodney King to ask, "Why can't we all just get along?"

Well, there you have it. Now you can decide where you will have your coffee as you drive through Hubbard.

Think about it,

Jim

Hubbard City Cafe's "American Citizens Unite" Movement Opens New Fronts

Scotty Anderson, father of a Mississippi college football coach and local Hubbard City insurance tycoon, is an optimist of some great proportions as displayed by his attempt to sooth over Billy Roy Mitchum and Butch Jackson's passions for their new National, if not International, drive for all American Citizens to unite against ILLEGAL acts of immigration, "Look guys, let's just work hard to get conservatives elected in 2010 and 2012, and just repeal this health care mess and any other laws these bandits in Washington push through between now and then. Let the system work."

"Ain't that easy, Scotty," Butch Jackson, Hubbard's newest and probably first Constitutionalists, was the first to retort. "These Socialist Liberal Elitist Sleazes know if they can pass any kind of law, and particularly one with 1,500-3,000 pages, that sneaks through the creation of several new agencies, commissions, or boards (let's just call them bureaucracies) they have created something that is all but impossible to kill. It is these bureaucracies that hire hundreds and thousands of people all dedicated to create new regulations that give the federal government more power and that creates more government jobs."

"Right on, Butch," were the first words of the day from Billy Roy Mitchum whose band will be featured on May the 15th at Old Town in downtown Hubbard City at 9:00 PM. This latest Health Care Law, that the Dems slipped up our rears, sets up something they call the Health Insurance Rate Authority or something like that. These guys will determine the number of treatments that will be reimbursed (that's rationing), what insurance rates companies can charge (this will drive them out of business which is the plan), and what fees for services will be reimbursed to doctors, hospitals, etc (because Washington can not afford the Medicare/Medicaid promises they have made). And listen closely, once they have made these decisions the only way they can be changed is literally if Congress passes legislation demanding a change, and even then the President can veto the acts of Congress. Just found this out, and now I know what Pelosi meant when she said 'pass the bill, and then you will find out what is in it'. These guys want to do the same thing by setting up these regulatory bureaucracies for the Financial, Energy, and Immigration areas as well. They will probably pass the Financial takeover with some Republican support in the next few weeks."

Butch came back, "Well spoken, BM. The real danger is not only what is in the law that's passed but there is even more danger is the regulations these agencies create and enforce. And guess what, the latest salary numbers show that Federal employees average making $120,000 a year while non-government workers earn an average of $58,000. And guess what, we poor folks making the 58 must pay taxes to pay the assholes making the 120. The Communist Ruskies never had it this good even in their best days under Old Joe Stalin."

J. P. Legal, a big time lawyer from Waco and frequenter of the Hubbard City Cafe, said,"Try this one on. Democrats have decided that in order to prevent Wall Street from starting more financial meltdowns, wrecking the economy and leaving the American taxpayer holding the bag, we need to give more oversight authority to the Feds. They want to give this additional power to the same bureaucrats who were busy surfing Internet porn (its true just Google the SEC and porn) as private investors frantically tried to warn them about Bernie Madoff, Fannie May, Freddie Mack, Chris Dodd, and Old Happy Barney Frank. The Democrats' financial 'reform' bill that BM was talking about also includes bail out authority that will keep the bureaucrats from having to go to Congress to bailout their Wall Street pals like Goldman Sachs. That way you can't blame Congress for the bailouts. The SEC brought these phony charges against Goldman that will get dropped once the legislation is passed."

"Remember, Obama got $1million (with an M) from Goldman in his run for the Presidency. Dodd and Frank got big contributions as well. How serious do you think these charges are that the SEC is bringing against Goldman. It's just another sleazy Chicago move that harshly, I mean harshly, insults the intelligence of all American Citizens who need to unite on many, I mean many, fronts," shouted Butch who possesses most known facts and things at his finger tips most of the time. At this very moment those finger tips spilled his coffee as he exuberantly slammed them on the number 1 table at the Hubbard City Cafe.

Folks left pretty quick as the World's Greatest Waitress, Linda, burst from the kitchen with towel in hand and a glare in her eye.

Think about those Bureaucrats,

Jim

Cafe Calls for American Citizens to Unite

Butch Jackson, newly self ordained Constitutionalists, initiated what became a call for All American Citizens to unite to keep America for Americans. Here is his pitch with some of the passion edited out with minimum distraction from the key points, "Obama and his Socialist Elitists have basically laid their cards on the table, and it ain't a pretty hand. This weekend he and the Dems distributed a video calling on young people, women, African Americans, and Hispanics to unite as they did in the 2008 election behind Hope and Change to protect the offices of his lackey Dems in the House, Senate, and most of all to protect his ass in the 2012 Presidential Election. He also called on new voters to join them."

"This sounds like class warfare is moving out in the open. So he left out white men, white women, Asians, Euros, the elderly, and mixed races. Who are these new voters, anyway?" Billy Roy Mitchum jumped in with both boots.

"As always, BM, you sliced right into the tender meat of this dialogue to no surprise of the God fearing, peace loving Cafe coffee drinkers of which I am most proud to be a member in good standing," was Butch's gleeful response making the drinkers wonder if this was a set up discussion. "These so called new voters are mostly Hispanics or Mexicans or Latinos who are in this country illegally to the number of anywhere from 15 to 20 million (with an M). The majority of which reside in these fine border states of which Texas is clearly the largest and most important because of Houston, Travis, Crocket, and all those guys. Obama wants to legalize them by passing what the misguided call Comprehensive Immigration Reform or Amnesty."

"You mean Obama would import voters to create a majority of people dependent upon his Socialist Regime just to keep power?" questioned a somewhat dubious Aunt Martha who sometimes even has coffee at the Drug Store as well as the Hubbard City Cafe mixing with Liberals and people like that.

"No question, Mam," Butch pulled his chair forward as he waved to the World's Greatest Waitress Linda for a refill. "Did you see him attacking the semi-great state of Arizona this weekend because they want to apprehend illegals who are murdering ranchers and having drug wars as the Federal Government continues to leave the borders unprotected? The more that come in and get amnesty the fewer American Citizens Obama needs to get re-elected. Mr. Steven Brophy is the President of none other than the American Cattlemen's Association. He says we need at least 15,000 guards right on the border and probably a fence to protect the borders. He says this Racial Profiling crap from Obama is trying to change the subject from the Federal Government's failure to protect our borders. We need troops on the border, and we need them now."

BM roared back into the conversation, "Enough said, Butch. We need action. I am declaring a Nationwide Movement on this very day for All American Citizens to unite to protect our borders, implement our Immigration Laws, and throw anyone who opposes these actions out of office starting with that Bozo in the White House. I agree with Rush who says Obama is the least competent and least experienced person in any, I repeat, any room."

So Mom had a question, "So who would be included in this group that's called to action?"

"Let's be very clear," BM responded as he tugged his hat brim down in front. "All Citizens include white men, Asians, Euros, all women, and most of all the ones who are hurt the most by illegal immigration, that being Latino Citizens and those with legal work permits, and most of all Blacks. Blacks are the ones who suffer the most by the lost jobs to illegals, welfare programs, and the nanny state pushed on them by Liberal Elitist Dems and Racial Justice Pimps. All American Citizens need to stand up and be counted to take this country back, and our Blacks should lead the parade."

Butch closed the meeting with a short prayer, maybe his first in public, "God Bless Jefferson, Hamilton, Madison, Washington, all the Adams, and now Billy Roy Mitchum."

If you are an American Citizen, think about it,

Jim
