The 109th Congress with Bush and Republican Majorities in Both Houses created $1.054 trillion in new debt
The 110th Congress with Bush and Democratic Majorities in Both Houses created $1.957 trillion in new debt
The 111th Congress with Obama and Democratic Majorities in Both Houses created $3.220 trillion in new debt (a 64% increase over the 110th and 3 times the last Republican Regime, the 109th)

He had his henchman and advisor Austin Goolsbee on the Sunday talk shows claiming that a refusal by the Senate to increase the government’s debt ceiling (currently $14.3 trillion) would be 'catastrophic' and a sign of 'insanity'. This will be the next stupid debate. The Republicans will try to use the debt ceiling topic to make cuts in spending and the Democrats will disagree with the cuts and claim the Republicans are trying to ruin the country just to fight Obama. And yet Obama looked at the debt ceiling very different in 2006. Listen to his statement when George Bush was asking for an increase from the level then which was at about $8T versus Obama's $14T today:
Obama read his teleprompter, 'The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.'

The Socialists Worked Through the Holidays--- Big Time
The 111th Congress, the most unpopular Congress in the recorded history of the United States with an all time low approval rating of 11%, ended last week with a flurry of legislative activity that set a record for a lame duck Congress. They couldn't have done it without the help of their Republican Senator friends who are listed at the end of the posting. The leftist media is delighted and eager to make the case that last week’s events portend a new era of bipartisan accomplishment, led by the White House, that will extend into the 112th Congress. In typical Obama fashion, while America was celebrating their holidays his henchmen and women were very busy demonizing, regulating, and confiscating.
The real action was in the agencies: Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Here is where the true picture of how the Obama Administration will advance their agenda in 2011 was displayed last week.
The most damage was probably done in HHS. First the NY Times discovered that what Sarah Pallin called the "Death Panels" was back and being enforced., It was stripped, but in typical Obama fashion, the provision was expanded and sneaked into Medicare. The defeated provision called for reviews every 5 years between patient and doctor to "educate" the patient on end of life decisions in an attempt to control costs and limit care. The provision sneaked into Medicare now calls for annual reviews in which the government will pay doctors for these "educational" services. HHA Administrators had warned their employees against letting these provisions leak to the press, and to prepare explanations there were leaks. HHS responded to the press reports by blaming the Bush administration which they said put these provisions into Medicare in 2003, a complete and typical Obama lie. The 2003 provision created a one time meeting with a doctor and patient when the patient entered the Medicare program.
Then on Tuesday, the HHS unveiled new price controls for the health insurance industry. Using new powers granted by Obamacare, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced that starting next year, health insurance companies must receive permission from the Obama Administration before they can raise rates by more than 10 percent. Meanwhile Obamacare forces insurance companies to increase their coverage dramatically. This is to regulate Insurance Companies out of business so they can confiscate or take over all of Health Care just like the admired system in Cuba. This is only one of thousands of new powers Obamacare granted the HHS. Left unchecked, there are many new health care regulations to come.
Later on Tuesday, the FCC released its “net neutrality” rules, which will allow the federal government to begin regulating the Internet. This despite opposition from Congress and a contrary federal court ruling. Dissenting FCC commissioner Robert McDowell described the unprecedented power grab last week: “Nothing is broken that needs fixing." After demonizing Conservative Talk Radio (Rush Limbaugh) Obama wants to get control of the Internet early realizing that left operating in a free market environment it could be a huge obstacle like talk radio for a Socialist takeover of the government.
Then on Thursday the EPA announced that it will begin regulating power plants and oil refineries in an attempt to stop global warming. The new regulations will seek to cut greenhouse gas emissions by making it more expensive to turn fossil fuels into energy. The State of Texas has taken the EPA to court and the EPA responded by calling Texas a "renegade" state for not adhering to regulations that would drive up energy costs and increase our dependence on foreign oil and Algore sun and wind. But the Obama Administration did not stop there. Later in the day, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced that the Bureau of Land Management was issuing new rules that would make it harder to develop natural resources on government-owned land. Both of these measures will not only drive up the cost of electricity but will also make us more dependent on foreign sources of energy.
The ability of the Obama Administration to step up their leftist agenda even after it was thoroughly “shellacked” at the polls is not an accident. It is the purposeful design of the Socialist movement, which has been working to undermine the Founders’ vision of our republic for over a century now.
The Heritage Foundation predicts, "This will be the fight of 2011: the unelected central planning 'experts' (including the Czars) of the Obama Administration versus the newly elected House of Representatives and state and local governments. The people are not powerless. Congress still has the power of the purse and can withhold funding for implementing Obamacare or writing global warming regulations. There is also the Congressional Review Act, which allows Congress to review and overrule regulations issued by government agencies. State and local governments can also thwart the federal administrative state by asserting their rights whenever possible. We can return power from Washington back to the people. Saying good-bye to the 111th Congress is a great first step."

We are in for one hell of a dangerous ride!!!
Billy Roy 'ain't' happy about the START Treaty, "In the spring of 2009, former hippie war protester and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton handed Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov a plastic button that was supposed to read 'reset' on both sides, once in English and once in Russian. But while the Obama Administration got the English part right, the State Department got the Russian word for 'reset' wrong, instead emblazoning the button with the word 'overload'. Well at least nine Republican Senators think even though this administration can't get one word right they will entrust them today to get a complete nuclear arms treaty right. You couldn't make something like this up. They call it START, and it looks like it is the start of Obama's disarmament program to pay back George Soros and his other Muslim and Communists supporters who hate the United States of America."

"Obama Is Either Stupid or a Socialst, and He Isn't Stupid"
To destroy a Christian Nation at some point in time you must destroy their military. A good first step might just be to make it a "secular vehicle for social justice". Just brand the military as a segment of our society that is basically ignorant, barbaric, and locked in a time warp.
Scott Riddle, local rancher and insurance baron, has given the Cafe a formula that they are using to test current events in DC, which is on a path of becoming the Socialist Capital of the World. Scott's formula was:

Now that the high school football season is over, even though Hubbard went 0-10 and never had a season, Butch Jackson has more time to follow world events, "The Teapartyers did some damage to Obama's plans to take control of the US economy so he is going strong to takeover and cripple our National Defense while we have our guards down thinking we just need to cut Government spending and reduce the deficit. Obama couldn't agree more about cutting government spending if it weakens our defenses. With the help of Republicans in name only he pushed through a repeal of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'."
Scott says it fits the formula, "I heard the Socialist media DEMONIZING the military by talking about how 'ignorant' military people are by being afraid that gays would attack them in their showers. Obama says every other military in the world has gays. He never mentions that most of them don't fight wars and depend on the US for protection. The REGULATION is clear by forcing the military to become a vehicle for 'social justice' which will cause tremendous disruption while Obama is asking us to fight two wars with our hands tied behind our backs. In Afghanistan Obama insists we are there to disrupt Al Queda who left Afghanistan long ago. Meanwhile our troops are fighting the Taliban while Obama's plan is to negotiate a peace with the Taliban and leave. The CONFISCATE step will come when the Socialists must take control of the military, along with police forces, after having weakened them through REGULATION."

So Obama spends a little time DEMONIZING these threats, and then argues that if we will REGULATE ourselves by reducing our nuclear arsenal and by not developing a nuclear missile defense system the bad guys will respond positively to the example we will set. As Newt Gingrich says, 'don't listen to what Obama says but watch what he does'. And what he is doing is weakening our military with aims to CONFISCATE, which has to be done in a Socialist takeover."

They will try to destroy the definition of marriage which is the heart of the family. You have to destroy the family if you are going to destroy a Christian Nation. Blue States Boss the Military From Afar

Interesting that the Liberals, who hang out in the Blue States, want to openly force gays in the military over the objections of our military leaders when they provide very few soldiers to the military. If you rank the states by the number of soldiers in the military per capita the Red (Republican) States have 17 of the top 20 with Hawaii being the only Blue state in the top ten. If you go to the bottom, those states who have the smallest number of soldiers in the military per capita, the Blue States (Democrats) have 16 of the bottom 20 in the rankings with only Michigan ranking lower than our largest populated state of California who ranked 49th. There is no surprise the great state of Texas leads all states with 12.8% of enrollments followed by Florida with 7.8%. Our largest state, California, has just over 1% of military enrollments ranking just behind Kansas and even Massachusetts. Yet the land of fruits and nuts has the most votes in congress telling the military how to run their business in fighting wars. Obamaland, Illinois, ranks 38th per capita.
Just doesn't seem right somehow. Our Secretary of Defense, Gates, claims he is for the Congress forcing the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" because he doesn't want the courts to force it. Looks to me like this is a lame excuse for kissing Obama's rear at the expense of our soldiers. Me, I trust the military leaders to decide how we should be defending ourselves and fighting wars more than I trust a Blue State dominated Congress.
I also clipped this from yesterday's news. Thank goodness Obama is breaking another promise to his Blue State Libs. "The Obama administration's year-end review of its Afghanistan war strategy upholds a pledge to begin a 'responsible, conditions-based' troop drawdown starting in July 2011 -- but senior military officials downplayed the timeline, telling Fox News they do not expect combat troops to be leaving by that time. "
"Military officials in Kabul dismissed the July time frame as D.C. politics, saying the only date the military cares about is 2014. That's the date NATO forces have set for ending combat operations and turning over responsibility to the Afghan government -- the deadline was agreed to at the NATO summit in Lisbon last month. Officials told Fox News that if anybody is leaving Afghanistan by July 2011, it will be administrative troops on large bases."
So of course it looks like Obama will pull troops out in July without pulling any troops out. I guess that is like stimulating jobs by driving up unemployment. Lowering the costs of health care by spending $3Trillion (with a T) of tax payer money. Saving GM by confiscating it from shareholders. Protecting the borders by suing the border States in support of the illegals. Things just seems kinda upside down.

When It Comes to Jihad, Is Obama the Fox and We Are in the Chicken Coop?
While the news media is still flooded with tired old politicians like Pelosi and Reid there are several bright new potential stars headed for Washington. This posting is about one of them.
President Obama recently once again called Islam "a great religion" which has been "distorted" by a small number of "extremists" to justify committing acts of violence against the West.
But the Qur'an (or Koran) itself, the holy book of Islam, contains over 100 verses calling for violence against Christians and Jews. To give just one example, Sura 9:5 says, "Slay the idolaters wherever you find them."
During a panel discussion sponsored by the Hudson Institute last January, retired Army Lt. Colonel and newly elected U.S. Congressman from Florida’s 22nd District, Allen West, who did combat duty in Iraq, responded to a Marine who asked the question, how do you answer people who say that terrorists are following a "warped" version of Islam?
The panel consisted of a number of former military personnel, who fumbled around trying to answer the question. Col. West finally stepped forward answered the question directly and truthfully.
First, to understand Allen West better, please read excerpts of his views voiced immediately after the Fort Hood murders and then listen to the words of this former military man who understands the nature of the enemy we face:

This past Thursday 13 American Soldiers were killed and another 30 wounded at a horrific mass shooting at US Army installation, Ft Hood Texas. As I watched in horror and then anger I recalled my two years of final service in the Army as a Battalion Commander at Ft Hood, 2002-2004.
A military installation is supposed to be a place where our Warriors train for war, to serve and protect our Nation. On Thursday, 5 November 2009 Ft Hood became a part of the battlefield in the war against Islamic totalitarianism and state sponsored terrorism.
There may be those who feel threatened by my words and would even recommend they not be uttered. To those individuals I say step aside because now is not the time for cowardice. Our Country has become so paralyzed by political correctness that we have allowed a vile and determined enemy to breach what should be the safest place in America, an Army post.
We have become so politically correct that our media is more concerned about the stress of the shooter, Major Nidal Malik Hasan. The misplaced benevolence intending to portray him as a victim is despicable. The fact that there are some who have now created an entire new classification called; “pre-virtual vicarious Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)” is unconscionable.
This is not a “man caused disaster”. It is what it is, an Islamic jihadist attack.
What have we done with all these prevalent trends? Nothing.
What we see are recalcitrant leaders who are refusing to confront the issue, Islamic terrorist infiltration into America, and possibly further into our Armed Services. Instead we have a multiculturalism and diversity syndrome on steroids.
Major Hasan should have never been transferred to Ft Hood, matter of fact he should have been Chaptered from the Army. His previous statements, poor evaluation reports, and the fact that the FBI had him under investigation for jihadist website posting should have been proof positive.
However, what we have is a typical liberal approach to find a victim, not the 13 and 30 Soldiers and Civilian, but rather the poor shooter. A shooter who we are told was a great American, who loved the Army and serving his Nation and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) stating that his actions had nothing to do with religious belief.
We know that Major Hasan deliberately planned this episode; he did give away his possessions. He stood atop a table in the confined space of the Soldier Readiness Center shouting “Allahu Akhbar”, same chant as the 9-11 terrorists and those we fight against overseas in the Iraq and Afghanistan theaters of operation.
We have Saudi Arabia funding close to 80% of the mosques in the United States, one right here in South Florida, Pompano Beach. Are we building churches and synagogues in Saudi Arabia? Are “Kaffirs” and “Infidels” allowed travel to Mecca?
So much for peaceful coexistence.
Saudi Arabia is sponsoring radical Imams who enter into our prisons and convert young men into a virulent Wahabbist ideology….one resulting in four individuals wanting to destroy synagogues in New York with plastic explosives. Thank God the explosives were dummy. They are sponsoring textbooks which present Islamic centric revisionist history in our schools.
When tolerance becomes a one way street it certainly leads to cultural suicide. We are on that street. Liberals cannot be trusted to defend our Republic, because their sympathies obviously lie with their perceived victim, Major Nidal Malik Hasan.
I make no apologies for these words, and anyone angered by them, please, go to Ft Hood and look into the eyes of the real victims. The tragedy at Ft Hood Texas did not have to happen. Consider now the feelings of those there and on every military installation in the world. Consider the feelings of the Warriors deployed into combat zones who now are concerned that their loved ones at home are in a combat zone.
Ft Hood suffered an Islamic jihadist attack, stop the denial, and realize a simple point.
The reality of your enemy must become your own.

Compromise My "You Know What"
Local banker and world class bass fisherman, Doyle Lee Wholeman, adopted Scott Riddle's formula for Communist takeovers and added some big words. He calls it, first, DEMONIZE secondly, REGULATE, and lastly, CONFISCATE. Doyle Lee says it doesn't just apply to the health care industry, autos, bankers, and other industries, "This week the Socialists are after the successful people. Those who have high incomes and that have accumulated some wealth. Of course, these are also the folks that spend money, contribute big time to charities and churches, and create jobs which is what the US economy and economic freedom is all about. Every job I have ever had came from one of these people. In the good old days every school child in the country was studying hard and working odd jobs in hopes of becoming one of these successful people. In fact, successful people were seen as role models and heroes."
"Obama and his Progressive Communist friends are practicing old school class warfare. They DEMONIZE by calling them the 'rich' or 'millionaires and billionaires' who want to avoid paying 'their fair share of taxes'. Their suggested REGULATION is a more drastic form of progressive taxation while creating more and more hand outs and stimulus to liberal voters. The CONFISCATION takes many forms. One is requiring ancestors to sell off assets (farms, ranches, and job producing businesses) to pay death taxes on estates that have already been taxed as income. Lenin, himself, could not have orchestrated this any better than Obama and his crowd. It is amazing how many Americans are accepting of this scam."
Butch went to his notes as he is generally apt to do, "Talk about fairness let's look at the numbers and trends. In 1987 the top 1% or those with the highest income paid 24% of all taxes. In 2007 they paid 40.4%. This is after what the propagandist commies said 'Bush gave tax cuts to the rich'. The top 5% of tax payers while making 37% of the total income, pay 60% of the total taxes. Back to Bush's tax cuts. The country had lost 267,000 jobs in the six quarters before the 2003 tax cuts. The country gained 5,307,000 jobs over the next 4 years. And as far as spending goes, the top 2% of tax payers buy 30% of all goods purchased in our economy. And to top this 'fairness' thing off 47% of workers pay 0 taxes. Obama is working hard to make this group larger before the 2012 election."
"Bottom line," as usual Billy Roy pontificated, " if you want less of something tax it more. If you want more of something tax it less. Lower tax rates mean investments in equipment, hiring new employees, and people working harder to keep more of what they earn. It is that simple to an honest man. Socialists who are trying to gain power at the expense of the little people through class warfare are far from honest. They want to divide the 'makers' from the 'takers' in hopes that the 'takers' will soon be in the majority. The sad part of the story is the little man who falls for this idiot pitch, and believes in free lunches, gets hurt the most thinking that government will take care of him. Just look at the poverty in Communist countries like Cuba, North Korea, and of course, the Soviet Empire bankrupted itself. China is moving toward capitalism and creating wealth after years of poverty under Communism."

Our founders must be spinning in their graves. All the while, Obama and crew are screaming that our move to socialism needs to go faster and faster so that he can 'save us from going over a cliff'. Obama wants higher taxes, more government spending, and more government control over the mean rich people. And most recently we are to believe that Obama will move to the middle and everything will be OK? Last week he said he welcomes the opportunity to debate tax reform with the Republicans over the next two years. He must think we are really stupid."
