Call Afghanistan the 'good' war and Iraq the 'bad-Bush' war. Pull out of Iraq leaving only an embassy, and who cares if the Iranians take over. Commit to a 'token surge' in Afghanistan giving the soldiers only half of what they ask for while at the same time announcing our pull out date by 2014 so that no enemy in the 'good' war would take us seriously. He thought they would be smart enough to just wait us out. And lastly, Obama would negotiate with the 'good' Taliban and charm them into at least saying they would co-operate with a coalition once we left. Meanwhile Obama would sit in Washington and harass anyone he determined was a 'bad' guy with unmanned drones."

"Well, surprise, surprise the latest set of events ain't good. A U.S. soldier is suspected of killing 16 Afghan civilians in a solitary shooting spree early Sunday. These attacks followed by a few weeks the killing of two U.S. officers at the hand of an Afghan soldier working in Kabul's secure Interior Ministry. He shot a Colonel and Major in their heads. Earlier still, Korans and Islamic religious materials were burned at Bagram Air Field in response to the captured terrorists using them to pass notes."
Billy Roy continued,"Both of these killings have huge psychological and political impact. The psychological pressure on every side of the Afghanistan conflict has become enormous. The war has gone on for more than 10 years, and while the Taliban have always opposed U.S. and NATO troops, supporters of the regime of Afghan President Hamid Karzai now distrust them as well. The United States is looking for a way out, and Karzai supporters understand what this might mean to them personally, like they could take slugs in the back of their heads as well."

A Warning From California To Dumb Conservative American Rednecks
Dear Billy Roy,
I live in California. If you were wondering what living in Obama's second term would be like, wonder no longer. We in California are living there now.
California is a one-party state dominated by a virulent Democratic Left enabled by a complicit media where every agency of local, county, and state government is run by and for the public employee unions. The unemployment rate is 12%.
California has more folks on food stamps than any other state, has added so many benefits and higher rates to Medicaid that we call it "Medi-Cal." Our K-12 schools have more administrators than teachers, and smaller classes but lower test scores and higher dropout rates with twice the per-student budget of 15 years ago. Good job, Brownie.
This week, the once and current Gov. Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown had to confess that the "balanced" state budget adopted five months ago was billions in the red because actual tax revenues were billions lower than the airy-fairy revenue estimates on which the balance was predicated.
After trimming legislators' perks and reducing the number of cell phones provided to state civil servants, the governor intoned that drastic budget reductions had already hollowed out state programs for the needy, law enforcement and our schoolchildren. California government needed more money.
Echoing the Occupy movement, the governor proclaimed the rich must pay their fair share. Fair share? The top 1% of California income earners currently pays 50% of the state's income tax.
California has seven income tax brackets. The top income tax rate is 9.3%, which is slapped on the greedy rich earning at least $47,056 a year. Income of more than $1 million pays the "millionaires' and billionaires'" surcharge tax rate of 10.3%.
Brown's proposal would add 2% for income over $250,000. A million-dollar income would then be taxed at 12.3%. And that's just for the state.
Brown also proposed a one-half-cent sales tax increase, which would bring sales taxes (which vary by county) to 7.75% to 10%. Both tax increases would be on the ballot in 2012.
The sales tax increase proposal immediately brought howls of protest from the Left (of Brown!). Charlie Eaton, a sociology grad student at UC Berkeley and leader of the UC Student-Workers Union, said, "We've paid enough. It's time for millionaires to pay."
At least five other ballot measures to raise taxes are circulating for signatures to get on the 2012 ballot in California. The governor's proposals are the most conservative.
The Obama way doesn't end with taxes.
The governor and the state legislature continue to applaud the efforts of the California High Speed Rail Authority to build a train connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco. Even though the budget is three times the voter-approved amount, and the first segment will only connect two small towns in the agricultural Central Valley. But hey, if we build it, they will ride.
And we don't want to turn down the Obama bullet-train bucks Florida and other states rejected because the operating costs would bankrupt them. Can't happen here—we're already insolvent.
If we get into real trouble with the train, we'll just bring in the Chinese. It worked with the Bay Bridge reconstruction. After the 1989 earthquake, the bridge connecting Oakland and San Francisco was rebuilt with steel made in China. Workers from China too. Paid for with money borrowed from China. Makes perfect sense.
In California, we hate the evil, greedy rich (except the rich in Hollywood and in sports, and in drug dealing). But we love people who have broken into California to eat the bounty created by the productive rich.
Illegals get benefits from various generous welfare programs, free medical care, free schools for their kids, including meals, and of course, instate tuition rates and scholarships too. Governor Perry, California has a heart. Nothing's too good for our guests.
To erase even a hint of criticism of illegal immigration, the California Legislature is considering a unilateral state amnesty. Democrat State Assemblyman Felipe Fuentes has proposed an initiative that would bar deportation of illegals from California.
Interesting dilemma for Obama there. If immigration is exclusively a federal matter, and Obama has sued four states for trying to enforce federal immigration laws he won't enforce, what will the President do to a California law that exempts California from federal immigration law?
California is also near fulfilling the environmentalist dream of deindustrialization.
After driving out the old industrial base (auto and airplane assembly, for example), air and water regulators and tax policies are now driving out the high-tech, biotech and even Internet-based companies that were supposed to be California's future.
The California cap-and-trade tax on business in the name of reducing CO2 makes our state the leader in wacky environmentalism and guarantees a further job exodus from the state.
Even green energy companies can't do business in California. Solyndra went under, taking its taxpayer loan guarantee with it.
No job is too small to escape the regulators. The state has even banned weekend amateur gold miners from the historic gold mining streams in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
In fact, more and more of California's public land is off-limits to recreation by the people who paid for that land. Unless you're illegal. Then you can clear the land, set up marijuana plantations at will, bring in fertilizers that legal farmers can no longer use, exploit illegal farm workers who live in hovels with no running water or sanitation, and protect your investment with armed illegals carrying guns no California citizen is allowed to own.
The rest of us only found out about these plantations when the workers' open campfire started one of those devastating fires that have killed hundreds of people and burned out thousands of homes in California over the last decade.
It was said after California's Proposition 13 in 1978 cut property tax rates and was copied in other states, that whatever happened in California would soon happen in your state.
You'd better hope that's wrong.

Obama: The Anti-Reagan
The Hubbard City Cafe loves Ronald Reagan. And why not? President Reagan brought the Soviet Union to their knees while growing the US economy for 92 straight months at almost 5 per cent per year. The Stock Market during this period of time doubled and 19 million new jobs were created.
In a rare moment Billy Roy Mitchem took the floor to actually kick off a discussion, it being his favorite topic, The Gipper, "Reagan was a man of ideals. He believed in the importance of FREEDOM. He believed the base of FREEDOM was FAITH. He said in front of the Berlin wall, 'This wall will fall because it can not withstand FAITH. This wall can not withstand FREEDOM.' Mikhail Gorbachev, who Reagan defeated, talked of the Reagan faith on The Gipper's 100th birthday,'He was driven by a sincere religious belief that influenced his morality. He was a great man,' according to the former Russian leader."

His idea of freedom includes forcing religious institutions to violate their beliefs as evidenced by the constitutional violation of forcing employers to offer things like morning after abortion pills to their employees, obviously an attack on freedom and faith."

Butch couldn't resist, "Obama has the economy on its knees with record deficits and debt, high unemployment even with the cooked books he keeps, an outright attack on America's ability to produce hydrocarbons and nuclear energy, and of course the only cuts in spending Obama supports is cutting the military. This is anti-anti Reagan on steroids. And then you have the Obama credibility thing. Do you honestly believe that any American ally (UK, Iraq, Afghanistan, and of course Israel) believes anything Obama says? And as far as surrender, Obama is racing to the exits in Iraq, Afghanistan, and refuses to challenge Iran and Syria. This week his lackey, Leon Panetta, said we would not even discuss the deployment of troops with our own legislature without first getting 'International Approval'. Reagan knew how to make America the world leader because that was his obsession. Obama took the Reagan play book and reversed everything because his obsession is to destroy our standing in the world which he calls transformation."
Billy Roy came loaded for bear, "Reagan understood conventional conservative economics that when the wealthy invests their capital in the economy it creates prosperity. He knew that these investors were encouraged through tax cuts. He knew the tax cuts should be balanced with reductions in government spending in social programs and other domestic areas. He called for massive tax cuts over a 3 year period. He said, 'We cut taxes in 1981 by 25 percent which triggered falling inflation (remember Jimmy Carter), falling interest rates, and the strongest economy in 30 years.' He did this while increasing defense spending from $130 billion in 1980 to $280 billion in 1988 which resulted in bankrupting the Soviet Union. Even with these spending increases the economy completely recovered by 1983."
Billy Roy continued, "Butch, I know you are going to comment on Obama's ability to cut defense spending and still run trillion dollar deficits with an economy that doesn't seem to be able to grow more than a pitiful 1 1/2 to 2% annually. And of course Obama's 'anti-Reagan' strategy is to raise taxes on investor/producers and redistribute to the Obama moochers. I agree with you, Butch, Obama isn't dumb. He is accomplishing just what the has set out to do. That is to weaken the mean old colonialist United States of America. It is as plain as the nose of your face. How Stupid Do They Think We Are?
Butch thinks the Obama anti-colonialist socialist saboteurs have out done themselves this week, "Even the sleaze man himself, Bill Clinton, couldn't support Obama and his political bed partner, Hillary, this week on the pipeline from Canada. Old William Jefferson, who ain't looking any better these days unlike Butch and I, said he would EMBRACE the Keystone pipeline."
"Now Obama is making an idiot pitch about ‘recapturing $4 Billion of the taxpayer's money that he says are being given to the evil oil companies’. Any idiot knows energy subsidies are measures that keep prices for consumers down and reduce costs for consumers and producers. These subsidies are intended to ensure adequate domestic supply by supporting US production and to reduce our import dependency. Those against these subsidies want to reduce oil consumption, drive up the price, and spend tax payer money on wind and solar. In the same speech Obama announced another $2 Billion give-a-way to help his wind farm buddies. What do you think about that B.M.?"
Billy Roy, who has been in intensive training in preparation for his 'Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year' award this very month, took a fairly deep breath before responding with that patented BM smile, "Well, I guess given the choice between EMBRACING Hillary or an old cold pipeline, I would jump that pipeline every time."
While BM had the floor, "They really seem to be testing the stupidity of the American people slash voter. In a really sickening event Obama, and those lackey military leaders he has in Afghanistan since he yanked out Patreous, apologized for burning the docs that Taliban terrorists were using to pass information along to each other, and then claims his apology was to protect soldiers lives and that it had 'calmed' things. Meanwhile no American soldier, even though they are in training roles, can turn their back on any Afghan. Seems weird? It is perfect for Obama. Six soldiers, including a Colonel and Major, have been murdered with shots in the back of their heads after the apologies. The American people are ready, and will become more ready, to get the hell out of there which is what Obama wants. He has tried to get the Taliban to negotiate and get 'commitments from the good Taliban' they will behave after we pull out. The Taliban knows how weak Obama is and how much he wants out. They clearly are using the Koran caper and assassinations to make Obama's knees even weaker while making the American public sick of the whole thing."
Butch came back in, "Well put BM. Obama talked about the ‘good war’ and now the ‘good Taliban’. The Taliban has publicly taken credit for each of these murders. I just read where an administration official said, ‘There is no less a commitment to our long-term relationship with Afghanistan. But is there a concern now that many will question the need to stay? Yes, especially in an election year.’ So you are right on BM. Obama will use this to pull out and then when our ‘good war’ turns the country back over to the Taliban terrorists, Obama will say it ‘was the will of the people’.”
“Personally, I would like to pull our entire troops home from any place of danger while this saboteur is in office. Obama's intentions are to weaken the US around the world, and if I had my way, I would not waste one more young soldier for this morally corrupted commander in chief (no capital letters here). Clearly the current military leaders are not standing up to Obama. So there is no help there. This is a truly sad time in our nation’s glorious history."
Even Mom had had enough of Obama’s attack on the American intelligence, “So the President and the Democratic Senate pass laws that first, everyone has to either buy insurance or get it ‘free’ from their employer. Secondly, they tell us what must be in the insurance coverage. And now, they force employers to provide plans that cover not only contraceptives but morning after abortion pills. Clearly their next steps will be to force everyone to cover late term abortions as well. What Constitution could they be reading that would make them believe they can legally do any of this? Clearly this is about the right of a citizen or religious organization to practice their faith which is guaranteed in the United States of America’s Constitution. Do they really believe the American people are this dumb? They are spinning it that the Republicans and religious fanatics are against contraceptives.”

Don't Let The Polls Get You Down
Polling for the 2012 Presidential race can not only be confusing but misleading. Polling as used by media outlets today can have a direct impact influencing how theelectorate votes. I would never trust an NBC poll for example. They can skew results anyway they choose simply by the demographics they use in their samples as well as the way they ask questions. Any NBC poll has only one goal: to re-elect Obama.
The most accurate polling organization historically has been Rasmussen. They were frightenly accurate with the Obama/McCain race. Even Rasmussen might be misleading with their current polling of important swing states.
In Ohio they report the following, “President Obama runs slightly ahead of Mitt Romney and dead even with Rick Santorum in Rasmussen Reports’ first Election 2012 look at the key battleground state of Ohio. A new telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds Obama earning 45% support to Romney’s 41%. Ten percent (10%) like some other candidate in the race, and four percent (4%) remain undecided.”
Scary, huh? But the key numbers are those not showing a preference for either candidate. First, it is only logical the large 10% preferring another candidate do not want another Democrat. Clearly most of these will vote Republican as they prefer Santorum, Gingrich, or maybe even someone like Chris Christie. Secondly Dick Morris’ studies have shown the “undecided” will go at least 80/20 against the incumbent. Making these adjustments Romney takes a lead of at least 52% to Obama’s 48% in Ohio.
In Virginia, “The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Virginia Voters shows Obama drawing 49% support to Romney's 43%. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate in the race, while three percent (3%) are undecided.
Applying the same adjustments the race narrows to an Obama lead of no more than 51% to Romney’s 49% or a race that is within the margin of error.
Lastly in Florida, “Obama is essentially even with Santorum in the Sunshine State but leads Romney by three points. A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Florida shows Obama earning 47% support to Santorum's 46%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) remain undecided. With adjustments made Santorum leads Obama 52%-48%. Obama and Romney are too close to call and in the margin of error.
If Obama is in trouble in these swing states with the Republican Candidates pounding on each other on a daily basis just think what will happen if we can just settle on a candidate. Above all, don't let the stupid polls get you down. Even the unbiased polls can be misleading.

Obama's Budget Is The Work of A Saboteur
Butch Jackson is doubling down on his claim that Barrack Hussein Obama is an anti-colonialist who has a diabolical plan to drain the strength of the United States of America and return it to those underprivileged folks that this country has robbed. Those underprivileged being both weak countries around the world and those he deems to be underprivileged classes of people inside this country.
Butch came roaring into the Hubbard City Cafe for coffee waiving the President's budget that was released last week in one hand and his ball cap in the other, "Numbers don't lie. Obama's budget is a detailed plan to destroy our country. The budget calls for adding $1.3 Trillion to the deficit this year and $11 Trillion over the next 10 years to go on top of the near $16 Trillion that is currently owed by our children and grandchildren."
"Obama's verbiage spews, 'A reduction in the deficit of $4 Trillion and a balanced approach of a fair tax on the rich and spending cuts. The truth is in the big picture numbers. In 2012 the budget calls for spending $3.8 Trillion with revenues of $2.5 Trillion for a huge deficit of $1.33 meaning for every $2 the government takes from taxpayer it will borrow another $1 to pay its bills. The liar in chief then claims that he will increase taxes by 16% in the name of fairness and the economy growth rate will more than double in 2013 to over 4% bringing the deficit down to ONLY $900 Billion. No way these projections are anything but BS."

The O-Bomber in chief IS DESTROYING THE COUNTRY BY SKILLFULLY CREATING A LEGISLATIVE IMPASSE AS DEFICITS CONTINUE TO GOBBLE AWAY AT OUR NATION'S ECONOMIC LEADERSHIP. If voters do not insist on a candidate that will reverse our spending addictions and get the economy growing at rates greater than 2% this nation is toast."

This is right out of the Obama play book to destroy the greatest health care system in the world and weaken our nation."

'Some would continue making us dependent on unreliable foreign sources of energy by buying oil from the Middle East and letting the Chinese develop tomorrow's sources of clean energy, solar and wind. Others would place all bets on solar and wind. I am for a balanced approach. Explore, produce, and manufacture fossil fuels in a well planned approach that doesn't pollute our world while making the INVESTMENTS in clean energy'. Sounds great doesn't it. But what are his actions? They are destructive and way extreme. He first banned off shore drilling at greater than 500 feet depths. When a judge over ruled this ridiculous regulation, Obama changed the ban to drilling from floating platforms. Meanwhile as he blocks every way possible our efforts to produce oil, gas, and coal to become self sufficient from foreign sources, Obama gives Brazil $2 Billion to finance off shore drilling with nothing in the deal to share in the production. And of course he blocks the pipeline from Canada knowing the oil will go to China. Same formula in presenting ridiculously extreme options that no sane person would agree with and offering as a compromise of an extreme solution that weakens our country and punishes our citizens. Meanwhile he privately rejoices as gasoline prices go up in his hopes if they get high enough his green energy might become economically feasible. He has worked to double gasoline prices since he has been in office. Treason doesn't get any worse than this. It has to be on purpose. No one could be this stupid."
Well, that is what happened on this day at the cafe. I don't agree with Billy Roy when he says no one could be this stupid. Obama voters are!! Rasmussen says on this very day this would include 49% of likely voters. What a shame. The underprivileged that Obama claims to help will suffer the most as this nation decays. They do in any socialist (or anti-colonial) takeover.

Obama Skunks USA in a 7-0 Route
The folks at the Cafe are big baseball fans probably because one of the greatest players of all time, Tris Speaker, comes from Hubbard. This love of baseball seems to make the guys want to keep score on almost everything. It appears nothing hurts our current President more than keeping score. He and the press have their little act down pat to explain away any kind of performance scoring. They send out messages like, "Everybody under-estimated just how bad George Bush's recession was and what a deep hole it put this nation in. Even though we have done a lot to stimulate recovery, there is a lot more to do (like re-electing Obama)."
Well it appears Butch Jackson has the goods on Obama no matter how much he and the media cook the books on recovery, "Our commander in chief not only wants to destroy the USA economically, but also as the international leader of the free world. Ever since WWII the USA has become the protector of freedom around the world, a task only made possible by backing this commitment with the strongest military in the world. WWII taught us diligence. Our troop strength went from a high during the big war of 12 million to 1.3 million at the time of the 911 attack in 2001. We then found that our troop strength was too small to fight two small wars (Afghanistan and Iraq). A big mistake that has cost American lives and treasure."

1. Obama chooses to have a dialogue with Iranian leaders instead of even verbally supporting one million protesters calling for regime change in the streets of Iran
2. Obama pulls out of Iraq giving Iran access to the third largest oil reserves in the world
3. Obama "cautiously" supports sanctions because "he doesn't want to increase the price of oil" which has doubled in the US since he came into office
4. Obama (his accomplice Leon Panetta who is now neutering the Defense Department) leaks Israeli plans to stop Iran from developing nukes in an attempt to block them from using force
Obama Beats the USA in the Middle East in 5 Innings
1. Obama praises the uprising in Egypt that overthrows our long time secular ally as "The Arab Spring"
2. Radical Egyptian Muslims threaten to gain control of Egypt and cancel Israeli peace agreement
3. Egyptian military hanging on to power by a string with no assistance from Obama
3. Obama "leads from behind" in placing US Military under NATO in Libya overthrowing another strong secular dictator in favor of tribal warfare that includes more power to radical Muslims
4. Libyan success touted as a model for the future that the USA should not act alone in "policing" the world
5. Obama has it set up for Iran and radical Muslims to overthrow the remaining Arab ally, the Saudis (rich royal families stealing from their own people like all of Obama's hated Colonialists do). This gives the bad guys 70% of the world's oil reserves
Obama Beats the USA in the Americas in 5 Innings
1. Obama takes measures to treat foreign terrorists as US Citizens who are innocent and lawyered up until proven guilty
2. Obama releases many captured terrorists from his hated GITMO to return to the battlefield
3. Obama allows illegal immigrants across unprotected southern borders and stops deportations under the guise of limited resources and deportation of dangerous criminals only
4. Obama sues any state who tries to protect themselves from illegal immigrants
5. Obama cow tows to Venezuela, Cuba, and any other Socialist leaning regimes in the Americas
Billy Roy summed up as usual, "Series over. We lose every game and go 0-7. We never even took Obama to the 9th inning! And I ain't sleeping a wink tonight."
So if Butch is even close to accurate on Obama's intent to destroy our leadership role in the world, you would think that real Americans would vote him out of office just on his foreign policies. Or will they believe him when he cooks the unemployment books to show that only 7.5-8% of Americans are out of work by November and believe that there is still more good things for him to stimulate? And, that this stimulation is more important than our children's safety in a hostile world, much of which joins Obama in his hatred for the Judeo Christian principles of the USA.
