Men, Women, Obama, and Confusion

Butch Jackson says he keeps hearing how popular the new President is in the polls, and so he just checked it out on the Internet at the Rasmussen site. The folks are really confused about what they hear on the news and what they see in the polls.

After seeing the results below women's suffrage has been the main discussion topic dominating the conversation causing my Aunt Martha to storm out of the cafe last Tuesday. The guys said it "was good for her blood pressure".

This is what Butch found and reported:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 34% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-two percent (32%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +2 (see trends).
Thirty-six percent (36%) of women Strongly Approve along with 31% of men. At the same time, 35% of men Strongly Disapprove. That view is shared by 29% of women (see other recent demographic highlights).
