And On the 8th Day God Needs to Come Back and Repair Families

Chairman Billy Roy kicked off today's discussion, "Scott, you have the floor.  We have stirred up a lot of dust about the problems of our educational systems, and we did some serious dumping on people like Opra, and as I recollect, you were going to suggest some specific things that need to be done to first improve our family situations, and in turn our schools as well."  As evidenced here, there are certain times that BM's sentences get pretty long.

Scott Riddle responded, "Well the preamble is mine, and then most of the other things I have to say come from school teachers I know.  My preamble has to do with this 'separation of church and state thing' that the Libs crow about.  It is a fact that no where can this church and state separation thing be found in the Declaration of Independence nor the US Constitution.  The term was used by one Thomas Jefferson in a letter in which he was worried about protecting states, local governments, and the folks from the Federal Government forcing a particular religion on everyone like they did in England.  Old smart Tom wanted to separate the state from supporting a particular religion not to separate the state from God."

"He never intended to ban God from government, schools, football games, or any other place where the people choose to pray or talk about God.  In fact the founding fathers would tell us that we have no chance of making this republic form of government work without basing our governance on Judeo Christian principles.  Our fundamental right of Religious Liberty was intended to enable people the freedom to worship and spread their religion as they choose."

"The reason I mention this first is that anyone who wants to ban God from our children and our schools is not serious about fixing our problems.  In closing on this issue I would pose the question:  What nation would be stupid enough to let a tiny group of atheists force their people to attempt to solve their problems without God's help?  Can't be done, and the founders and all smart people know it.  Who would want to stop people from praying that God watch over their football players?  Particularly if you have a real good team."

"Since our government likes to regulate things to protect us, let's give them a list of things to regulate to assist families and by assisting families assisting schools as well:

"So number 1, let's start by making sure all laws and policies support and encourage marriage while discouraging divorce and having children out of wedlock.  And, don't even think about redefining marriage to include same sexes, polygamist, or any other crazy ideas.  Half of all marriages today end in divorce, and 42% of Blacks, 30 years and older, have never  been married, while 65% of Black children are reared by single parents.  Today's welfare and divorce laws weaken the institution of marriage."

"Number 2, laws and policies should encourage and support work and make welfare rare, and truly a safety net.  If mothers continue to have children out of wedlock, they should not be rewarded.  In fact, if this situation persists, the children should be removed, adopted,  and put into good homes.  Do welfare the old fashioned way."

"Number 3, fathers should be held financially responsible for their offspring period)."

"Number 4, 'Do Gooders' should be allowed tax breaks for helping the East side of their hometowns.  Instead of unmarried Movie Stars adopting kids in Kenya and using them for publicity photos on magazine covers and then handing them off to nannies, they should adopt needy children in East Los Angeles, East Austin, or East Hubbard City.  My gosh, we have all seen the problems caused by bringing Kenyan kids to the US, just look at the White House."

The same thing is true for churches, charities, and local businesses who spend money and resources in poor countries around the world while doing very little for their own communities leaving it to the government who just screws it up and makes it worse."

"Number 5, REGULATE AND ENFORCE our existing immigration laws like the President and Congress have pledged to do.  What sane nation would take an education system drowning with students from bad families and dump another 10 million or so non-English speaking, non-tax paying illegal law breakers on top of the mess?  Enforce the borders and then create responsible immigration policies and enforce the law.  Impeach any politician who refuses to do so, starting with the head man."

"Number 6, as the founders intended, get the federal government out of family issues and education.  Eliminate the Department of Education and leave communities alone to take care of their own children.  Leave those taxes at home.  Don't take them to Washington and make locals kiss rear ends to get there money back."

"Seventh and last cause I ran out of ink, encourage families and schools to practice their Right of Religious Liberty striving to follow God's natural laws and the golden rule (love thy neighbor as thyself) as best we can without forcing any specific religion or church on any citizen.  Like most things God will fix these problems if we ask Him and listen real good."

Butch couldn't resist getting into the act, "Great ideas, Scott.  If we could attack these family issues it would be easy to change some school things like paying good teachers for good work, firing bad teachers, disciplining the students (heck get the paddle back out), and getting the unions, atheists, and socialists out of the schools.  Replace the Federal Department of Education with a House Committee on Un-American Activities and turn them loose on those communists meddling with school children."

Billy Roy was quick to add a suggestion as well.  "Regarding the kid's school menu and forcing them to eat those eqq whites, I don't think a hamburger, some peach cobbler, or a little fried chicken now and then is going to overly harm the little squirts.  Heck, look at us. We are more apt to live too long than not long enough, and we ate the good stuff."

Well, the Cafe folks have given us some stuff to think about.  I still think we could speed all this up if we divorced California from these United States.  In hind sight the Spaniards played a dirty trick by getting us to annex those people.

Special Report on Health Care: Obama Lies Like a Dog

President Obama assured us that if we liked our current insurance plans that we could keep them back when he was telling us how good Obamacare was going to be. Obama lied like a dog.

On October 9 of 2010, this writer received a letter: IMPORTANT NOTICE: Your Medicare Drug Coverage is changing. The Pyramid Life Insurance Company will no longer offer your plan beginning Jan. 1, 2011 (that gives me less than 3 mos. to react which is more time the the Dems are giving us to know our tax rates for 2011). Seems my friends and I are all getting either a cancellation letter like this or one saying our premiums are going up, all as a result of Obamacare.  Have you checked your mail?

As the September 22 edition of the Washington Examiner points out, Americans have more reason for outrage now than ever. Topping $2.5 trillion, the law (which at 2,400 pages costs about $10.4 billion a page) drives up health care costs in both public and private plans. It spends a healthy chunk of that sum not caring for but killing innocent unborn children. Maybe your plan is pro-life. But if you like it, you probably can't keep it. "By Obama's estimates, as many as 69% of employees, 80% of small businesses, and 64% of large businesses will be forced to change coverage." Premiums are up--tax relief is down. And if your health coverage isn't bureaucrat-approved, the IRS will pocket your tax return. Fortunately, the final vote on the health care bill wasn't the end of the debate. As more and more people wake up to what Congress and this President have done, more voters will rise up in protest and hopefully by no later than November 2.

Six months ago, President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rammed Obamacare down the throats of an unwilling American public. Half a year removed from the unprecedented legislative chicanery and backroom dealing that characterized the bill's passage, we know much more about the bill than we did then. A few of the revelations:

» Obamacare won't decrease health care costs for the government.  Costs will clearly go up.

» As written, Obamacare covers elective abortions, contrary to Obama's promise that it wouldn't.

» Obamacare won't allow employees or most small businesses to keep the coverage they have and like. By Obama's estimates, as many as 69 percent of employees, 80 percent of small businesses, and 64 percent of large businesses will be forced to change coverage, probably to more expensive plans.

» Obamacare will increase insurance premiums -- in some places, it already has.

» Obamacare will force seasonal employers -- especially the ski and amusement park industries -- to pay huge fines, cut hours, or lay off employees.

» Obamacare forces states to guarantee not only payment but also treatment for indigent Medicaid patients.

Make no mistake about it.  This is all a brutal and devious plan to drive create a health care disaster, blame the inusurance companies and Republicans, and drive all but the political elite to a single payer socialistic government run health care system controlled by those who want to reform America and redistribute wealth to themselves and their voters.  This is right out of the Lenin, Stalin, Castro, and Chavez playbook.

Never has a citizen's single course of action been clearer. Throw these guys out of office and repeal this law ASAP.

Don't even think about it.  Just do it.

Feeding Kids a Secular Egg White Breakfast Won't Fix the Education Problem!!!

Scott Riddle promised to get back to the cafe to continue the discussion on education but was late doing so since the threw his back out doing something that he is keeping real personal.  In any case he finally showed up and the following discussion was reported by Aunt Martha.

Trying to gain the Cafe audience's attention requires some real strategy, well honed tactics, and a little showmanship at times. A fact not missed by an accomplished country and western performer and current residing Chairman of the Hubbard City Cafe like Billy Roy Mitchum, "Let's get back to this Opra thing. In typical Opra fashion she thinks if her Obama crowd can hoodwink folks with a little entertainment to tug on the heartstrings people will feel like she and her rich elite liberal friends can convince folks they are solving their problems like with the schools. This is how they feel good about themselves by helping peons like us. When the crap clears all they have done is spend our money on union salaries (who vote for their buddies), pensions, and school breakfasts that most kids won't eat."

"Opra and Michelle Obama try to convince us that if we serve ghetto kids a healthy breakfast of egg whites, pay their teachers (Obama voters) more money, stop saying prayers in school, report Islam as the religion of peace in all school books, and hang Barrack Hussein Obama pictures on every wall that we can all feel better about things for a while. Obama would say that others before him, that being George Bush, have dug such a deep hole and pushed our schools into that hole that it will take him a while to get the kids out."

"You are way more than just being right," Scott Riddle waded into the discussion. Clearly he had been tutored by his daughter Donna, one of the world's greatest 2nd grade school teachers residing just outside the Hubbard City limits. "As usual the last thing Opra and Obama's crew want people to focus on is the truth about the problems with our schools,"

Scott went silent knowing the folk's rear ends were barely clinging to the edge of the cafe straight backs. "Don't get me wrong, I am the first to say the schools need to kick the unions out right after they kick the federal government out, and then hold the teachers accountable, but that won't fix the problem. The problem starts at home with the family."

"Pure and simple, good families send good students to good schools. Then all the teachers have to do is teach. Bad schools today, many in those big cities like Newark, have poor children who have no parents (or a single parent many times unemployed and on welfare), with a system that says the more brothers and sisters, the bigger the government check for the caretaker (many times a grandmother). Each additional child means less time at home to prepare the student. These kids come to school with no preparation, no manners, no concept of morals, no discipline, no respect for anyone much less authority, and no religious values. School restrictions not only prohibit prayer but most disciplinary action as well. You put 30 of these kids in a classroom and the teacher has no chance of success. And what does Washington do? They make the teacher focus on getting the kids to pass some stupid test.  Oh, yea, and force the schools to feed them those egg whites for breakfast.  Who the hell likes egg whites?"

"Good parents have no choice but to try to send their kids to special schools with students who come from other good parents. Charter schools with bad parents would be no better than public schools with bad parent."

"And here comes Opra to the rescue. She is unmarried, believes any form of religion is OK as long as it doesn't intrude on any one's behavior, and is anything but a strong advocate of family values. Hell each of her homes is larger than any public school."

"So what do we do, Scott", Mom was near tears having been the Secretary to the Hubbard School Superintendent for many years in the good old days of quality education.

"We go forward by going back. Our founders created a Republic based on man's divine nature of freedom, responsibility, and rights that come from God. The founders knew, and warned us, that if these principles were trampled on, not only would our schools fail, but our Republic as well. When our government kicks God out of the classroom, subverts families in their homes by acting as welfare pimps to buy votes, weakens the concept of family to the point of even redefining marriage, and even creates crises to gain more central control of schools in violation of Constitutional Law what chance does a school teacher have? Even one as good as Donna Riddle. Given time, this big government, run by elite power hungry slime bags, will defeat Donna and drive the good teachers out."

"Local folks need to kick the federal government out of schools, keep more of our money at home and out of Washington, and get off our butts and help local families in need through our churches, charities, and businesses. It will take a generation to reverse the problems and is if we start right now, but it is sure as hell worth it. A vote on November 2 is a good way to start, but it is really just a very small step on a pretty long trip."

Billy Roy summed things up, "Scott, you've given this a lot of good thought.  Could you and Donna come back later in the week with 5 or 6 key things we can forward to our political friends and try to get this thing moving?"

This was one of those rare days where the folks didn't hurry to their trucks. The folks don't like anyone messing with their children and grandchildren. There was some degree of silence, and then they started on a really long trip.  The road they are on isn't that crowded so there is plenty of room to join up.

Think about it,

Jim
