The Cafe Gives Thanks

The Hubbard Folks love their Thanksgiving Holiday and take it quiet seriously. Below are just a few of the things they are thankful for this year:

Aunt Martha gave thanks to President Abraham Lincoln who established the Thanksgiving National Holiday in the midst of the Civil War and before the Secularist Lawyers ridiculously "separated church and state!":

"I do therefore invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners, or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the imposition of the Almighty hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it, as soon as may be consistent with the divine purpose, to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility, and union."

Butch Johnston ironically gave thanks to the Chinese and Indian leaders for saving the world's economy by not agreeing to the UN and American President's Global Warming treaties that would bankrupt our economies and increase the suffering of people of all nations. Who would have ever thought in the year 2009 many in the US were praying the Chinese would save us from Socialism and bankrupcy.

Billy Roy gave thanks for our military for protecting us from evil Islamic terrorists all over the world and for those who would support the military's efforts against those who would retreat from the radical Muslim threat.

Scott Riddle gave thanks for friends and family who truly make life worthwhile when it is all said and done.

Sweet Lou Tekell gave thanks for Grandchildren because "there just ain't nothin like it!".

Mom, who is recovering from back surgery due to a fracture, gave thanks for the many medical workers who perform miracles everyday in saving and improving our lives in the greatest medical system known to man.

Scottie Andersen gave thanks to a loving God, who forgives us our many shortcomings, while guaranteeing us a life everlasting.

Have a great holiday,

Jim
