Word Games/Illegal Immigrants and Obama On the Take

A friend of mine from Michigan knows that Aunt Martha, librarian/poet/writer of local renown, likes to play word games. He sent her the following facts to share with the folks at the Cafe.

Did you know....that the words "race car" spelled backward still spells "race car"?
...that "eat" is the only word that, if you take the 1st letter and move it to the last, it spells its past tense, "ate"?

And have you noticed that if you rearrange the letters in "illegal immigrants," and add just a few more letters, it spells: "Go home you free-loading, benefit-grabbing, resource-sucking, baby-making, violent, non-English-speaking jerks and take those other hairy-faced, sandal-wearing, bomb-making, camel-riding, goat-loving, raggedy-ass morons with you."

How weird is that???

Well, a quick polling of the folks who attempted to view Obama's State of the Union speech rated it below an ugly goat roping. In fact, not one single person was able to listen to the entire speech. Butch Jackson, political observer/fact checker/philosopher of questionalble renown, claims that he made it for 25 minutes without dozing, which would have been 10 minutes more than anyone else. Butch's claim was met with unguarded skeptism.

Butch handed out the Heritage Foundation's review of the speech which included the following:
"The speech was an incoherent mess of promised tax cuts for small businesses coupled with the threat of tax hikes from his health care and energy proposals; more federal money to encourage banks to lend to businesses, coupled with new taxes on banks and individuals; the continued waste of his $862 billion stimulus plan and $2 trillion in new health care spending, coupled with a delayed and temporary spending freeze." Wow, looks like he nailed it, huh?

Butch also claimed to have read an advanced publication of the entire Obama "Worldest Shortest Books" collection before bed after the speech. Folks either didn't hear this claim or didn't care much whether he had or not. Rumors are that Butch might have ghost written a couple of these books.

Billy Roy, local wise man/country and western singer/big issue summarizer, commented, "All I got was that Obama did everything he wanted to in 2009 and liked what he did a lot. Therefore he was going to double his efforts to do it all over again in 2010. I just wonder if the Republicans are paying him big money to act like this."

Something to think about,

Jim
