The last thing Obama and the Democrats want is settled law regarding immigration (and particularly before the November election. The following analysis shows his deceit?

4. REFORM CURRENT IMMIGRATION LAWS INCLUDING ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN WITH ILLEGALS CURRENTLY IN THIS COUNTRY
IT IS ALSO CLEAR DEMOCRATS WILL NEVER AGREE WITH THESE ACTIONS HOPING TO KEEP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AS AN OPEN AND HIGHLY DIVISIBLE ISSUE, AND CERTAINLY NOT BEFORE THE NOVEMBER ELECTION.

Obama-Lies #5 Obama Thinks the US is a Great Nation That Just Needs Reforms
Maybe Obama’s greatest lie of all has been his deceitful claim that he believes the US is a great nation that just needs reforming. You know the hope and change thing. Instead of change Obama has accelerated our slide deeper into a welfare state with the purpose of shifting more power to a concentrated group of Anti-Colonial Socialist Chicago thugs. He has intentionally weakened this nation economically, militarily, and culturally.

Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and having
zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with Radical terrorists?"
And "The One" said, "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk with them and show them
how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!"
And the people said, "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons
Into free cars for the people!"
Then "The One" said "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes."
And one, Lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes.
"So "The One" Said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!"
And the people said, "Hallelujah! Show us the money!"
Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!"
And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed.
And He said. "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for every worker
and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every Person unlimited healthcare
and medicine and transportation to the Clinics."
(And no Muslim shall pay for their share of healthcare.)
And the people said, "Give me some of that!"
Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas."
And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"
Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and
Electricity rates will skyrocket!"
And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal!
But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates.
So "The One" said, “Not to worry. If Your rebate isn't enough to cover
your expenses, we shall bail you out.
Just sign up with the ACORN and you troubles are over!"
Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted.
Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches,
Free medical care, bilingual signs and guaranteed housing...
" And the people said, "Hallelujah!" and they made him king!
And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes,
raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business
and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff.
The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl.

Then "The One" said, "I am the "the One"- The Messiah – and I'm here To save you!
We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!"
But our foreign trading partners said unto Him. "Wait a Minute. Your dollar is not worth
a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more...
And "The One" said, "Wait a minute. That is unfair!!"
And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced.
Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power.
Now you shall play by our rules!"
And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?"
But yea, verily, it was too late.
The people set upon The One and spat upon him and stoned him,
and his name was dung. And the once mighty nation was no more;
and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope.
And the Change "The One" had given them was as like unto a poison
that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built.
And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish,
"Give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!"

Obama-Lies #4: Obama is not a Socialist
On the heels of Obama awarding the Medal of Freedom to the honorary chair of the Democratic Socialists of America another bombshell was dropped today by a very reputable journalist named Stanley Kurtz. Like many other stories about Obama’s background the Chicago mob/handlers lied in their responses and the main stream press willfully supported their lies. This time there is documented evidence that Obama, a candidate at the time for the State Senate in 1996, actually joined a socialist third party and signed a loyalty pledge. When approached by the press his campaign manager lied in covering up the story.
This latest lie and cover up is presented below in an article by Joel Pollak which was published today.

Stanley Kurtz, author of Radical-in-Chief: Barack Obama and the Untold Story of American Socialism (2010), has released new "smoking gun" evidence at National Review Online. It is evidence that the mainstream media can no longer ignore--and Obama can no longer deny.
When the story of Obama's association with the New Party first broke in 2008, Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt claimed that Obama had never been a member. (LaBolt likewise told the New York Times that Obama had "not spoken by phone or exchanged e-mail messages since Mr. Obama began serving in the United States Senate in January 2005"--a statement that carefully concealed the truth that Obama had spent time in Ayers' home after he began serving in the Senate.) The Obama campaign took up the issue at its "Fight the Smears" website, smearing Kurtz and willfully distorting the truth about Barack Obama's radical past:
Right-wing hatchet man and conspiracy theorist, Stanley Kurtz is pushing a new crackpot smear against Barack falsely claiming he was a member of something called the New Party.
But the truth is Barack has been a member of only one political party, the Democratic Party. In all six primary campaigns of his career, Barack has has run as a Democrat. The New Party did support Barack once in 1996, but he was the only candidate on the ballot in his race and never solicited the endorsement.
Ben Smith of Politico wrote a classic "nothing to see here" story, taking LaBolt and New Party founder Joel Rogers at their word. The rest of the mainstream media, eagerly covering up for--and campaigning for--Obama, took Smith's report as the definitive "debunking" of the New Party "smear" and failed to look further. Now, through careful archival research, Kurtz has proven his case--and proven once again that there are many people on the left who have been willing to misrepresent and obscure facts about Barack Obama, as well as many in the mainstream media who have acted as Obama's accomplices rather than searching for the truth.
Kurtz writes:
Minutes of the meeting on January 11, 1996, of the New Party’s Chicago chapter read as follows:
Barack Obama, candidate for State Senate in the 13th Legislative District, gave a statement to the membership and answered questions. He signed the New Party “Candidate Contract” and requested an endorsement from the New Party. He also joined the New Party.
Consistent with this, a roster of the Chicago chapter of the New Party from early 1997 lists Obama as a member, with January 11, 1996, indicated as the date he joined...
The revelation in 2008 that Obama had joined an ACORN-controlled, leftist third party could have been damaging indeed, and coming clean about his broader work with ACORN might easily have exposed these New Party ties. Because the work of ACORN and the New Party often intersected with Obama’s other alliances, honesty about his ties to either could have laid bare the entire network of his leftist political partnerships.
Obama was not the only one who lied, according to Kurtz:
Although Obama is ultimately responsible for deceiving the American people in 2008 about his political background, he got help from his old associates. Each of the two former political allies who helped him to deny his New Party membership during campaign ’08 was in a position to know better.
One of the most glaring lies--which Politico's Smith readily accepted--was that the New Party did not have members. That is easily proved false, Kurtz says, with the group's own documents, which he has recovered:
At just about the time Obama joined the New Party, the Chicago chapter was embroiled in a bitter internal dispute. A party-membership list is attached to a memo in which the leaders of one faction consider a scheme to disqualify potential voting members from a competing faction, on the grounds that those voters had not renewed their memberships. The factional leaders worried that their opponents would legitimately object to this tactic, since a mailing that called for members to renew hadn’t been properly sent out. At any rate, the memo clearly demonstrates that, contrary to Rogers’s explanation, membership in the New Party entailed the right to vote on matters of party governance. In fact, Obama’s own New Party endorsement, being controversial, was thrown open to a members’ vote on the day he joined the party.
As for the group's socialist ideology, Kurtz says, the documents he has recovered leave no doubt:
The documents reveal that the New Party’s central aim was to move the United States steadily closer to European social democracy, a goal that Mitt Romney has also attributed to Obama. New Party leaders disdained mainstream Democrats, considering them tools of business, and promised instead to create a partnership between elected officials and local community organizations, with the goal of socializing the American economy to an unprecedented degree.
Kurtz ends by challenging the mainstream media to the opposite of what they did in 2008--to follow up on the facts he has uncovered, and "to report that President Obama once joined a leftist third party, and that he hid that truth from the American people in order to win the presidency." And he hints that there are more facts to come.

* The democratization of our banking and financial system-including popular election of those charged with public stewardship of our banking system, worker-owner control over their pension assets, community-controlled alternative financial institutions. A takeover of the financial system by the people!
* A Bill of Rights for America's Children, guaranteeing true equality of opportunity, providing equal education for all students, and achieving an adequate standard of health care, nutrition, housing, and safety. People’s rights guaranteed by the gov’t for education, health care, food, housing, and safety starting with food stamps, Obamacare, federal control of schools, and Barney Frank’s management of housing.

One of the most glaring lies--which Politico's Smith readily accepted--was that the New Party did not have members. That is easily proved false, Kurtz says, with the group's own documents, which he has recovered:
At just about the time Obama joined the New Party, the Chicago chapter was embroiled in a bitter internal dispute. A party-membership list is attached to a memo in which the leaders of one faction consider a scheme to disqualify potential voting members from a competing faction, on the grounds that those voters had not renewed their memberships. The factional leaders worried that their opponents would legitimately object to this tactic, since a mailing that called for members to renew hadn’t been properly sent out. At any rate, the memo clearly demonstrates that, contrary to Rogers’s explanation, membership in the New Party entailed the right to vote on matters of party governance. In fact, Obama’s own New Party endorsement, being controversial, was thrown open to a members’ vote on the day he joined the party.
As for the group's socialist ideology, Kurtz says, the documents he has recovered leave no doubt:
The documents reveal that the New Party’s central aim was to move the United States steadily closer to European social democracy, a goal that Mitt Romney has also attributed to Obama. New Party leaders disdained mainstream Democrats, considering them tools of business, and promised instead to create a partnership between elected officials and local community organizations, with the goal of socializing the American economy to an unprecedented degree.
Kurtz ends by challenging the mainstream media to the opposite of what they did in 2008--to follow up on the facts he has uncovered, and "to report that President Obama once joined a leftist third party, and that he hid that truth from the American people in order to win the presidency." And he hints that there are more facts to come.

Obama-Lies #3 My Auto Bailout Saved Millions of Jobs
Time and again Obama boasts about his auto bailouts of Chrysler and GM. He claims to have saved millions of jobs. He claims GM is now the world’s #1 Auto Producer and doing great. He claims Gov. Romney “just wanted to let them go under”. He claims the American people overwhelmingly approve of his auto bailouts.
Wrong on all counts. Those like Gov. Romney who opposed the government intervening and picking winners and losers were for following time honored LAWS of BANKRUPCY. Under these laws the courts would have appointed capable trustees to settle all claims, renegotiate contracts (including ridiculously damaging contracts with labor unions), and follow bankruptcy rules favoring preferred stock holders. After downsizing the companies would have begun normal operations again.
Under Obama’s takeover he made the rules. The preferred and common shareholders were thrown under the bus, unions were favored and given equity, and the nation’s taxpayers paid the bill. Also, in Chrysler’s case after the government takeover at the taxpayer’s expense, they still declared bankruptcy and THEN SOLD THE COMPANY TO THE ITALIAN AUTO MAKER, FIAT.
GM is only #1 because of the Japanese typhoon and the US Government’s false charges of safety issues at Toyota. With continued government interference clearly GM’s days are numbered as a leader of the auto industry since their MASTERS (Obama’s henchmen) will force them into silly things like uneconomical electric cars that the public doesn’t want.
Obama mentions “jobs saved” and never mentions “layoffs made”. GM agreed to reduce its workforce from 96,000 to 45,000 by 2012.
Regarding public opinion, the following was publishing by pollster Rasmussen this week (note the mention of the public’s acceptance of Obama’s lies regarding paying back the $36 Billion of taxpayer money:
“A plurality of voters nationwide now believes the government bailouts of the automobile industry were good for the country, but they remain less enthusiastic about the financial industry bailouts. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 47% of Likely Voters believe the auto industry bailouts were good for America. Forty-three percent (43%) see the government bailouts of automakers General Motors and Chrysler as bad for the country, while another 10% are undecided. By comparison, just 32% believe the bailouts of the financial industry were good for the United States. A majority (52%) still sees those bailouts as generally bad for the country. Another 16% are not sure. Belief that the auto industry bailouts were good for the country is up slightly from 44% from April and is at the highest level measured since they were passed. In April 2009, in the heart of the auto bailout debate, just 26% thought they were a good idea. Many Americans view the bailouts of GM and Chrysler more favorably these days, believing incorrectly that the government made money or broke even on them. Official estimates, however, indicate that the federal government will lose tens of billions of dollars on the auto bailouts alone. When told the government will lose money on the bailouts, 59% of Americans say they were a failure. Meanwhile, sentiments on the financial industry bailouts are little changed from April. This bailout issue is a perfect example of Obama’s lies and distortions. When the public has the truth, their views go against Obama.

They will use several techniques including “cherry picking”. It is my strong belief that we all must do everything we can to equip our patriots with the facts. Therefore, I am using this email as an experiment. My experiment follows:
1. I will draft factual responses to the Obama-Lies. (I encourage each of you to send me your suggestions)
2. I will forward these drafts to my email list made up of Hubbard City Café Bloggers
3. I am requesting that you forward these drafts to your distribution lists encouraging them to do the same.
4. I request that you “reply” to my emails by informing me of the number of people that are reached by your distribution. You should request your distribution to do the same so we can get good distribution estimates.
5. If we follow through on this process, the drafts can go “virile” and hopefully have a real impact.

Historians tell us no President has ever been re-elected with an UNEMPLOYMENT RATE over 8%. The current published rate is 8.1% as of May 5, 2012. Real close, huh?
The unemployment rate when Obama entered office in 2008 was 5.8%. It increased to the high near 9.6% in the year 2010, and has been reported to have improved to 9% beginning in 2011 to 8.3% beginning in 2012. Each month this year it seems to go down by .1%. You figure it out! Looks like it will just go under the key 8.0% rate by November. Whew, Dems can say at election time, “That was a close one, huh?”
When you look at the details, however, there is a problem. Obama’s Department of Labor is “COOKING THE BOOKS”! Here is how it works.
When Obama entered office the Civilian Population of the United States was approximately 234.6 million people. The percentage the Department of Labor (under George Bush) calculated as being in the Work Force was 155 million or 66.1% of the Population (called the participation rate). Today, the population has increased by 8.1 million people, and yet the Obama DOL reports the Work Force has shrunk by 647 thousand workers. They report that only 63.6% of the Population (called the participation rate) is in the Work Force.
Bush’s DOL reported that 145.5 million workers were employed and 9.5 million were unemployed and the rate of unemployment was 6.1%. Obama reports today 139.6 million (almost 6 million fewer) are employed and 13.8 million are unemployed (4.3 million more). Not a pretty picture.
Yet, because Obama reduces the estimated Work Force each reporting period he shows improvement in the Unemployment metric. The punch line is this. IF OBAMA USED THE SAME PARTICIPATION RATE AS BUSH (AND WASN’T COOKING THE BOOKS) TODAY’S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE WOULD BE A TRUE…….13% INSTEAD OF THE REPORTED 8.1% (SOON TO BE UNDER 8%).
THE LOGIC IS SIMPLE. IF THERE ARE FEWER PEOPLE IN THE WORK FORCE THAN THE PERCENTAGE OF THOSE UNEMPLOYED IS SMALLER THE MATH WORKS LIKE THIS. IF I HAVE 100 PEOPLE IN THE WORK FORCE AND 80 ARE EMPLOYED MY UNEMPLOYMENT PERCENTAGE IS 20%. IF IN THE NEXT REPORTING PERIOD I REDUCE THE WORK FORCE TO 90 AND 80 ARE EMPLOYED MY UNEMPLOYMENT PERCENTAGE GOES DOWN TO 11%. THE LIARS CAN MAKE THE NUMBER ANYTHING THEY WISH JUST BY ADJUSTING THE PARTICIPATION PERCENTAGE.
GOT IT. JUST AS YOU KNEW, THESE PEOPLE MAKE BILL CLINTON LOOK MINOR LEAGURE WHEN IT COMES TO DISTORTING THE TRUTH.

They will take the number of employed at the lowest level and claim to have created new jobs for every position filled claiming to have created 4 million jobs. Even then the lowest the employed number got was 139 million and today is 141.8 million. Only a 2.8 million increase. Will Democracies Doom The World As We Know It?
With the recent failure of one man, Chief Justice John Roberts, to execute his responsibilities to determine the legality of legislation based ONLY ON the Constitution, it is a good time for all to reflect on the very basic principles on which our government was founded. Clearly Roberts was influenced by what he considered to be "democratic principles" as he made every attempt to not find legislation unconstitutional even to the point of re-drafting the Obamacare statute to justify his decision. Roberts rewrote the bill to make it a tax, to change the way Medicaid is forced on States, and get around the Interstate Commerce Clause of the Constitution. For his hard work Roberts will go down in history as not only a politician instead of a judge but a SLIPPERY one at that.
A Republican (remember “and to the Republic for which we stand?”) form of government’s prime purpose is to protect individuals and minorities from the majority. Clearly forcing an individual to purchase an insurance policy either by regulating interstate commerce or by imposing a penalizing tax is not allowed in the Constitution. Roberts being an intelligent man knows that. He joined the MOB majority of 2010 who shoved this legislation down the minority and the individual’s collective throats.
A second reason, just as important to understand the difference between a Democracy and a Republic is the turmoil in the Middle East, known as the Arab Spring, revolutions endorsed by none other than Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and crew. They praise the attempts of Egypt and Libya to move to DEMOCRATIC FORMS OF GOVERNMENT. (Note: No where in the US Constitution is a Democracy even mentioned.) These advocates of the Arab Spring are working hard to convince Americans and the Free World that MIDDLE EAST DEMOCRACIES will solve all the problems caused by leaders like Gaddafi, Mubarak, and Saddam. Yet the Free World knows Muslim Brotherhood majorities in these countries are apt to be even worse for world peace and individual freedoms than even dictators. Today’s paper reports a knifing and murder of a young Egyptian who was caught on a park bench with a girl friend. Women are already being given separate seating on buses and harassed for not wearing veils. The Egypt military is attempting to defend individual and minority rights by enforcing the constitution to rein in the elected President and Muslim Legislature (which received 70% of mob vote). More than likely these democracies will have one vote one time and then move to forms of state controlled Communism. To my knowledge no member of the American Press is reporting the tragic move of Egypt from a secular dictator to an even worse radical islamic mob. And let’s face it; our President is far more comfortable with muslims than Christians.
THE TRUTH IS THE LAST THING WE SHOULD STRIVE FOR IN OUR COUNTRY AND IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD IS A TRUE DEMOCRACY!!!

Just after the completion and signing of the Constitution, in reply to a woman's inquiry as to the type of government the Founders had created, Benjamin Franklin said, "A Republic, if you can keep it."
Not only have we failed to keep it, most don't even know what it is.
A Republic is representative government ruled by law (the Constitution). A democracy is direct government ruled by the majority (mob rule). A Republic recognizes the inalienable rights of individuals while democracies are only concerned with group wants or needs (the public good).
Lawmaking is a slow, deliberate process in our Constitutional Republic requiring approval from the three branches of government, the Supreme Court and individual jurors (jury-nullification). Lawmaking in our unlawful democracy occurs rapidly requiring approval from the whim of the majority as determined by polls and/or voter referendums. A good example of democracy in action is a lynch mob.
Democracies always self-destruct when the non-productive majority realizes that it can vote itself handouts from the productive minority by electing the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury. To maintain their power, these candidates must adopt an ever-increasing tax and spend policy to satisfy the ever-increasing desires of the majority. As taxes increase, incentive to produce decreases, causing many of the once productive to drop out and join the non-productive. When there are no longer enough producers to fund the legitimate functions of government and the socialist programs, the democracy will collapse, always to be followed by a Dictatorship.
Even though nearly every politician, teacher, journalist and citizen believes that our Founders created a democracy, it is absolutely not true. The Founders knew full well the differences between a Republic and a Democracy and they repeatedly and emphatically said that they had founded a republic.
Article IV Section 4, of the Constitution "guarantees to every state in this union a Republican form of government".... Conversely, the word Democracy is not mentioned even once in the Constitution. Madison warned us of the dangers of democracies with these words,

Our military training manuals used to contain the correct definitions of Democracy and Republic. The following comes from Training Manual No. 2000-25 published by the War Department, November 30, 1928.
DEMOCRACY:
• A government of the masses.
• Authority derived through mass meeting or any other form of "direct" expression.
• Results in mobocracy.
• Attitude toward property is communistic--negating property rights.
• Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate, whether is be based upon deliberation or governed by passion, prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences.
• Results in demogogism, license, agitation, discontent, anarchy.
REPUBLIC:
• Authority is derived through the election by the people of public officials best fitted to represent them.
• Attitude toward law is the administration of justice in accord with fixed principles and established evidence, with a strict regard to consequences.
• A greater number of citizens and extent of territory may be brought within its compass.
• Avoids the dangerous extreme of either tyranny or mobocracy.
• Results in statesmanship, liberty, reason, justice, contentment, and progress.
• Is the "standard form" of government throughout the world.
The manuals containing these definitions were ordered destroyed without explanation about the same time that President Franklin D. Roosevelt made private ownership of our lawful money (US Minted Gold Coins) illegal. Shortly after the people turned in their $20 gold coins, the price was increased from $20 per ounce to $35 per ounce. Almost overnight F.D.R., the most popular president this century (elected 4 times) looted almost half of this nation's wealth, while convincing the people that it was for their own good. Many of F.D.R.'s policies were suggested by his right hand man, Harry Hopkins, who said,
Tax and Tax, Spend and Spend, Elect and Elect, because the people are too damn dumb to know the difference".
Sound relevant to current events? The Supreme Court has surrendered its role of insuring Constitutional Law. The Legislature has completely failed to function as elected Statesmen and representatives of their districts. The White House resident is a Communist who despises the US Republican form of government and aims to destroy it in 8 short years.
Meanwhile almost 50% of the population pay no taxes and nurse from the tits of government as they are bused from their welfare slums to the polls by power hungry career politicians and welfare pimps.
In closing, the founders knew what they were doing. DO WE?

A Republican (remember “and to the Republic for which we stand?”) form of government’s prime purpose is to protect individuals and minorities from the majority. Clearly forcing an individual to purchase an insurance policy either by regulating interstate commerce or by imposing a penalizing tax is not allowed in the Constitution. Roberts being an intelligent man knows that. He joined the MOB majority of 2010 who shoved this legislation down the minority and the individual’s collective throats.
A second reason, just as important to understand the difference between a Democracy and a Republic is the turmoil in the Middle East, known as the Arab Spring, revolutions endorsed by none other than Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and crew. They praise the attempts of Egypt and Libya to move to DEMOCRATIC FORMS OF GOVERNMENT. (Note: No where in the US Constitution is a Democracy even mentioned.) These advocates of the Arab Spring are working hard to convince Americans and the Free World that MIDDLE EAST DEMOCRACIES will solve all the problems caused by leaders like Gaddafi, Mubarak, and Saddam. Yet the Free World knows Muslim Brotherhood majorities in these countries are apt to be even worse for world peace and individual freedoms than even dictators. Today’s paper reports a knifing and murder of a young Egyptian who was caught on a park bench with a girl friend. Women are already being given separate seating on buses and harassed for not wearing veils. The Egypt military is attempting to defend individual and minority rights by enforcing the constitution to rein in the elected President and Muslim Legislature (which received 70% of mob vote). More than likely these democracies will have one vote one time and then move to forms of state controlled Communism. To my knowledge no member of the American Press is reporting the tragic move of Egypt from a secular dictator to an even worse radical islamic mob. And let’s face it; our President is far more comfortable with muslims than Christians.
THE TRUTH IS THE LAST THING WE SHOULD STRIVE FOR IN OUR COUNTRY AND IN OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD IS A TRUE DEMOCRACY!!!

Just after the completion and signing of the Constitution, in reply to a woman's inquiry as to the type of government the Founders had created, Benjamin Franklin said, "A Republic, if you can keep it."
Not only have we failed to keep it, most don't even know what it is.
A Republic is representative government ruled by law (the Constitution). A democracy is direct government ruled by the majority (mob rule). A Republic recognizes the inalienable rights of individuals while democracies are only concerned with group wants or needs (the public good).
Lawmaking is a slow, deliberate process in our Constitutional Republic requiring approval from the three branches of government, the Supreme Court and individual jurors (jury-nullification). Lawmaking in our unlawful democracy occurs rapidly requiring approval from the whim of the majority as determined by polls and/or voter referendums. A good example of democracy in action is a lynch mob.
Democracies always self-destruct when the non-productive majority realizes that it can vote itself handouts from the productive minority by electing the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury. To maintain their power, these candidates must adopt an ever-increasing tax and spend policy to satisfy the ever-increasing desires of the majority. As taxes increase, incentive to produce decreases, causing many of the once productive to drop out and join the non-productive. When there are no longer enough producers to fund the legitimate functions of government and the socialist programs, the democracy will collapse, always to be followed by a Dictatorship.
Even though nearly every politician, teacher, journalist and citizen believes that our Founders created a democracy, it is absolutely not true. The Founders knew full well the differences between a Republic and a Democracy and they repeatedly and emphatically said that they had founded a republic.
Article IV Section 4, of the Constitution "guarantees to every state in this union a Republican form of government".... Conversely, the word Democracy is not mentioned even once in the Constitution. Madison warned us of the dangers of democracies with these words,
